Whoop whoop it's the weekend :j
Horrible drive home from work - lots of surface water and spray - but the sun is shining now
The spare money in my current account was "burning a hole in my pocket" so I have made a MOP of £250 + the ebay money + £125 from the holiday account = £500
My free sample of caramel coffee arrived in the post - it's not totally revolting but I won't be buying any!
Eggs IN 7
Eggs OUT 22 (sold for £7)
Plants IN 5 - my replacement tithonia seedlings arrived, 1/10 size of the originals but much healthier lookingMortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

My Calycanthus floridus was just deliveredI am very pleased with the quality and size of the plant (it's much more than a twig!) and the nursery's customer service... what a shame that I'm not going to be buying any more plants...:rotfl:
It came packed in straw in a huge box - I now have enough bedding for The Girls for at least 4 weeks :TMortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

I've finally decided to sell my old chicken coop
Three years ago I justified the expense of the bigger, orangier coop by telling Mr MWC that I would sell the old one (but then I decided to keep it just in case...)
So today's plan:
Pot up seedlings
Plant out larger plants
Weed the gravelled patio area again - there are still thousands of self-seeded bronze fennel seedlings and I've been weeding for weeks
General tidy up in the garden
Mow the lawn
Muck out the chickens
Pressure wash the old chicken coop and find all the bits
Order hardwood chips for the chicken run
Mr MWC is on grocery shopping and housework dutiesMortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000
Mortgage-free: January 2021
