  • Very nice! But the collar would drive me nuts - it would be covered in make-up in 5 minutes!

I am hoping to get one on Wed. Going to one of these shopping outlet places where I've never been before.

I have a gorgeous Hobbs animal print mac (now 2 yrs old) but it's not warm enough for cold weather. My current winter coat is 5 yrs old and I bought it in a charity shop for £5. It is plain black, wool mix, zip right up front, knee length and quite fitted. No idea what make it is as there was no label in it. I have loved it and loads of people have admired it. I got it out today and a) it is looking threadbare and b) it is too big for me now I have lost weight.

I am hoping to grab a bargain!:)

After moaning I actually ended up buying one :rotfl:
Another for Asda, it's a dark burgundy with military style fastenings (not the same one as balletshoes, though I did think we were going to be coat twins for a minute there!) and - wait for it - a HOOD! :j It's not massively thick but I tend to wear layers or big jumpers anyway, and since it's been chucking it down since I bought it then so far is doing well for being waterproof :)

No luck on my coat shopping trip yesterday. Must have tried on about 25 and narrowed it down to one and then wasn't sure about that. I really want knee length and this was more of a long jacket.

    Back to the drawing board.
