And...I think I decided it's kinda an investment lol

The khaki one looks quite polished, and so does the beige one. Black is nice but for that price Id be looking for something more than a simple black coat IYKWIM

I had to replace a bunch of my coats as am chuuuubbby!!! My old size 8s dont fit (am eBaying my leather ones) so had to buy:

white-grey moleskin long coat from Zara
    Leather biker from warehouse
Quilted waxed beige belted jacket from matalan

May have to replace my beloved black Reiss too, though it is a large winter coat so fx it will be ok this winter!
We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic. ;)

Asda has some nice coats just now.

I do like a jacket with a hood, that sits below my waist, nothing worse than getting your bum soaked on the way to work. :(
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

OMG I'd have any one of them! What is this discount you speak of and how do I get one?! :rotfl:

Infact, scrub that, I'd probably bankrupt myself!!

Asda looks cracking for coats at the minute, I also got a £19 one in red. I already had a nice winter coat from last year that is still good, and even though it's a "fashion" one the fabric has a high percentage of wool so is nice and warm, but I work in a bit of a dirty environment so wanted a cheap coat for work to save my nice expensive one potentially getting spoilt.
  • I have difficulty with winter coats as I am very full on the bust and not on the hips! I have two nice jackets from Bravissimo but would love a full length wool coat, well past the knees, that isn't fitted; Windsmore etc are just too small on top!
However what I also wanted is a coat that has the qualities of an anorak but doesn't look like one. Anyway on my travels I came acroos this shop, who also do internet shopping and got exactly what I wanted. www.cacountryattire.co.uk The actual coat that I got is a Jack Murphy, which looks a bit like a Stockmans Coat, and several people have actually stopped me to ask where they can buy one. It is waterproof, lined, warm, full length and has a detatchable hood and I can fit jumpers under it if necessary.

A friend of mine works in a prestigious shop in London :D I'm buzzing haha, I mean, I spend a fortune every year on a new coat, I figure this is an investment? Lol.

BTW. I saw a really cute burgundy coat in Asda for like £25 was really nice. Dammit
  • I think I've just seen and liked this one! Is it the formal coat and if so, what kind of fit is it please?

5052765982072?wid=78&hei=98&resmode=sharp&op_usm=1.1,0.5,0,0&defaultimage=default_alternative_George_rd It's this one, I got the size 12 and it's quite roomy but I don't think I'd fit a thick knit under it. I'm usually a 14 in coats to allow for layers. And it's got pockets! Hurrah! (no hood though). Sleeves are long enough too and I have quite long arms I guess - dangly, y'know? :)
