So I lost all service the same day as everyone else. I phoned O2 up once service was restored to let them know I was not happy and to request a refund of that days service.

O2 are not refunding or compensating for any service loss. I find this truly disgraceful.

Are they not legally required to refund the cost of one days service?

Unfortunately I have 22 months to go on my contract, I doubt this issue will allow me an easy escape from the contract.

!!!! company these days, I used to sing their praises but they are slowly getting worse.

As I said, I've been affected twice, but all companies have issues and/or downfalls.

See loads of Vodafone complaints around here and didn't they really hack a ton of people off a while back, over a change which was detrimental to people, but they manage to use a loophole to stop people being able to cancel early.

I have three mates over the past couple of months, complaining about the lack of 3 customer service, including one of them not having service for 3 days. Their Indian based customer service, is awful as well in my experience.

I left T-Mobile a while back, because they were charging for voicemail, even though I had inclusive mins, apparently it wasn't included, but the website made no mention.

Hardly a week goes by, without someone complaining about Orange on these forums as well.

These are massive companies, so of course people are going to have issues from time to time and it's not like it is every other week for 99.9% of customers.

Although I have a signal indicated on my phone from this morning I found out my phone hasn't been ringing but going straight to voicemail! I had to reboot the phone and it is now OK. Suggest if your expecting a call you test your service by calling your own number from another.

Then I assume you are on a business contract with consequensial loss insurance if it's that vital.

If you are you have a good case to get a refund, if your on a consumer level contract then you have a case but will have a hard time getting anything back.

I have an unstable WIFI connection, also no thanks to Vista which refuses to retain the settings, my iphone has been notoriously reliable in having a WIFI connection but of late it has been continously switching between 3G WIFI when available and back to 3G again.
Why do I get the feeling O2 are !!!!ing us up again and forcing us to pay for their mistakes?

WiFi is nothing to do with O2. It's to do with your own equipment, not O2's.

It's the same old thing though isn't it. There are alternatives to mobiles if they don't work. Fixed lines, you know those things that many have in homes and offices up and down the country.

You'll find more idiots here, http://news.o2.co.uk/2012/10/12/o2-network-disruption-12-october/

I love the ones who are demanding to let their contracts be ripped up. I assume that they haven't read the small print about outages etc.

I love this comment, 'Why are we not being compensated? If didn't pay our full bill they'd be on us like a shot! Typical company getting too big for it's boots. Will be looking elsewhere for my new contract'

Here is what Mark from Manchester had to say, i copied and paste the idiots wording: 'why arnt you compensating people this time I did not get anythink last time this happened I think you should get your acts to gether and pay up or you will be looseing customers at this rate.'

Donna, among other things had this to say 'Not a happy customer, my daughter was in hospital after an operation and was trying to get in touch with me to go get her, a mobile is so I can be somewhere and still receive important calls,'

I know all of you are experts in consumer law and with that know your way around a mobile phone mast etc so you're right to !!!! your pants and wait to be told what to do.

Have you got a link for this? I thought that sim only had been replaced by their ultimate Internet sim 200 tariff (200 minutes, 5000 texts, unlimited data)

    It's here:

The "All in one 15" plan.
