Whats this £10 for all o2 customers, from the last outage, I never received any voucher, just a small discount on the monthly bill
It was available for the month of September via the o2 Priority Moments application.
As for the outage, odd that considering it was only 10% everyone I knew on o2 in different parts of the country were affected, myself included...0 -
Tesco customer with hellish iPhone issues. Compensation? Hah.:mad:0

I used to be a very happy O2 customer until recently. My contract had unlimited data which then O2 changed mid contract and decided to limit to 500Mb. I also used to have unlimited O2 to O2 calls, which they no longer will provide under my contract. Last week my brother sent me a message saying he no longer needed picked up from the airport which is a two hour drive away, I got the message two days later!! Thank god for WhatsApp, or that would been 4 hours wasted!
This is all after I found out they leaking my number in January (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/01/25/o2_hands_out_phone_numbers_to_websites/). With all the the outages this past few months, I decided to cancel my contract after 10 years with them. Im currently on Pay as You Go and I'm looking for a new mobile operator, any suggestions?0 -
02 are becoming an absolute joke. Thank heavens for Vodafone, the only times my number has been down in the last twelve years are when they've switched my sims over.0

Why do I get the feeling O2 are !!!!ing us up again and forcing us to pay for their mistakes?
Your wifi has nothing at all to do with O2, no idea how it's somehow their fault?!0 -
Whats this £10 for all o2 customers, from the last outage, I never received any voucher, just a small discount on the monthly bill
Initially, when I received the original SMS stating that a £10 voucher would be available after the last outage, I though, hmm, I doubt I'll use it. I then joined Priority Moments and followed the instructions to get the voucher. I subsequently used it in my local o2 store to buy a PAYG Samsung Galaxy Y smartphone for 50 quid after my old Motorola flip phone packed up and I shoved my giffgaff sim card in the Samsung.
I personally haven't suffered any of the outages, either on o2 which I use for personal calls on PAYG on iphone, or giffgaff which I use for any other calls (and of course freephone numbers!).
Sympathies to all those that have had problems.0 -
I didn't get my £10 despite the SMS and having already joined moments from a long time.
I'm not sure why you wouldn't have been able to get the voucher? All I did was claim it on Moments and o2 SMS'd the thing to me. All I did was show the voucher on my iphone to the o2 sales staff, they keyed it into the till and the £10 came off the cost of the new phone. Sadly, o2 still made me buy a £10 top up with the 'free' sim they give you when you by a new PAYG phone. Personally, I think that's utter guff. They wouldn't just give me the 10 quid as a top up for my iphone, so although I did still get 10 quid off the phone, I've now got a useless (to me) £10 loaded sim card that I probably won't use unless I give the thing away.0 -
I am with giffgaff who use the O2 network. After not having service from 2pm until 11pm on Friday, I'm switching away - how can a network be so unreliable.
I had a job interview on Friday and while the lack of service fortunately didn't jeopardise it at all, the very thought that it could have is enough to make me change networks.
There was another brief outage last month and another big outage not that long ago. Going to try the three network who have 300 mins, 3000 texts and unlimited data for £15.You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0
