Really? Certainly in an official capacity the deal is over. Have read that some people phoning to ask for this have been told this and refused.
But its still being promoted by Sky.
" Sky Line Rental offer
Pay 12 months line rental upfront
and save over £50
Just £9.95 per month
Call an advisor on 08442 411653 "

But its still being promoted by Sky. .....
Its existence was previously buried in a drop-down menu that qualified price comparisons with BT.
As an existing upfront line rental customer, I understood that the offer I took was not renewable, and when I recently received a letter from Sky regarding the price increase, they indicated that I would revert to monthly line rental at the end of the prepaid period and made no reference to the possibility of making savings by renewing upfront line rental.
Unlike BT, for example, who have an efficient method of online ordering for upfront line rental, Sky have never really committed to upfront line rental as an ongoing offer and I've no doubt that this contributes to the confusion/lack of awareness within their call centres.
Indeed, the current promotion that you linked to indicates in the smallprint "Offer ends 29 June 2013".0 -

Thanks for your detailed explanation.
Yet Poster Ardbeggordon claims to have got it here on 21/10/12 http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-talk/50541-sky-line-rental-increase-2.html ( Post 19) after being made to go through hoop.0 -
These threads, on Sky's Help Centre Forum, illustrate the chaos surrounding Sky's upfront line rental:

.... and this thread shows that the chaos dates back to early 2011:

Upfront line rental is undoubtedly available from Sky at present. However, my personal experience and those of various customers commenting on forums, is that you have to be prepared to argue/identify its existence to some call centre staff and escalate the issue if you don't get a positive result.
It's available, but it isn't an established ongoing option and the ordering process is often inefficient.0
