I'm asking you to give me and MSE an easy way to give away 30,000 vouchers fairly and equally.

What do you consider to be valuable members/contributers.

    Did you get a voucher?
I gave you 3 chances to answer the question ...it's clearly obvious that you are unable to answer it.

The thing is I'm totally happy with what MSE provided. You are not apparently...so feel free to answer my questions?

I can't see how MSE could have been fairer.

  • I managed to get a code after several attempts completing the words - each time I entered the words a new set came up but eventually a code appeared underneath.

Then tried to book my train, same thing happened, each time I entered the code a new blank space appeared.

After several attempts I got the message that my code was successful BUT have still payed full price for the tickets ??!!
So I wasted an hour for nothing.

Anybody know whether my code could be used at a later date ?

By the Way - new to the forums but read them often and thanks to everybody who tries to help others.:T Just have not had anything to contribute until now !

Your code can be used up until 31 December - mine is sitting there waiting for a trip I'm making next month to be finalised

But are you sure it hasn't been deducted? From memory of a previous offer the price shown at the end of the transaction is the full price but your card payment has £10 deducted from it.

I know you're all talking about the slowness of the site etc..but someoe asked how they could have been fairer. Many people work 9-5 myself it's 8-4 so releasing the codes at 11 and then 3 is not really fair on those who cannot get any internet access during work. So really it's not very fair and one should have been released in the morning before some people went to work or in the evening when they would have also had more chance.

From what I have read from admin makes MSE and Martin (Sell out) Lewis hypocritical and seem impervious to this you are so quick to put a company on the coals for a failure to deliver a service to people.

So you fail do deliver what do you do? A Complete in my eyes a PR failure and two fingers up to loyal members, So Dan may I ask you a member like me been around for 3 years you do not value any more than the leeches who just came on for 1 freebie and went away without contributing??

Don't forget it was us older members who made you guys where you are today with out our sheer loyalty and word of mouth about the usefulness of this website you would of wrapped up long back!

I think for the issues and inconvenience made to the members whom missed out because of petty issues should be issued with a public apology on the homepage especially for the blatent lack of gratitude given to us for being around so long.

would be nice if you didn't issue one of those typical every business statements which if translated is you saying "we don't care if your not happy we have loads of money" but said in a diplomatic tone

I ask again for the 3rd time........show me where a valued member/contributer is shown any more consideration than a lurker/free rider and I shall reconsider.

Why should someone who happens to use a free forum be treated better than someone else for a giveway that went out in the weekly e-mail and had nothing to do with forum membership.

Someone else who answers a question with a question :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
However as you too seem unable to answer perhaps you could say where I said a forum user should be given better treatment.

The link was posted on a public site where anyone can follow the link not just the registered users ...hence no cosideration is show for those registered.
It would also mean one code per registered user ...as in the case of those who got 8/9 codes using various email addy's
I personaly know someone not a member who got 3 using those tactics ...not exactly fair is it ?

I ask again for the 3rd time........show me where a valued member/contributer is shown any more consideration than a lurker/free rider and I shall reconsider.

Reading these posts, I really don't understand why you insist on this, Silk. I thought it's quite obvious and has been reiterated time and time again within this same thread that THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE between a member/contributor and a free rider, so there aren't any special "considerations" as it were.

What I find very annoying is how people are getting slagged off for supposedly not answering your "simple" question. Seriously? What are you trying to prove?

Now, if you have an issue against MSE's code-giving policies, or the perceived indifference/injustice you feel about MSE's laissez-faire free-for-all approach, then fine, to each his own. Other people don't have to get slagged off for that, surely?

I personally don't agree with you. I think Martin Lewis and his team didn't even NEED to get 30,000 codes for all of us, but he did. He knows there are 7mil people in the audience, and he's done as much as he could to make sure people can get to them (wait till Thurs, spread across 11am & 3pm, captchas, etc).

If you lot were *really* loyal, then you'll know and understand that MSE may have bitten a bit more than they could chew, and they could've handled the onslaught of users on their servers a bit better.

I know no matter what I say about this, you'll still think you've been wronged by MSE, which is a shame.
