Not had jellyfish but once had jellied eel in a pub in Chelsea and it wasn't that bad.

Morrisons has Gardman mealworms 100g 2 for $7 at the moment normally 4.50 each ;)

Didn't have as many mushrooms as I thought when I started breakfast so I cubed some organic Halloumi. I used High Weald Dairy organic Halloumi www.highwealddairy.co.uk which I get from Budgens or Riverford.

I fried until it was golden on at least two sides of the cube and as I was eating. it occurred to me that with the crispy exterior it could be used:
    • as an alternative to croutons in salad for low carbers and people avoiding gluten
    • as a sneaky way of getting more protein into snacking kids

Thomas Koch, General Manager of Claridge's, was interviewed for the Evening Standard's ES magazine on Friday.

Asked what's the first thing you do when you arrive home, he replied that he fills his fridge from Waitrose.

Building he would most like to be locked in overnight, would be Whole Foods.

Incidentally, Claridge's does an organic breakfast and organic options for lunch and dinner and AFAIK Claridge's is the only grand hotel that does this.

Executive Chef Martyn Nail started doing organic options in 2007 and if you read this article you'll find that some of the suppliers he uses are places which also supply Ocado.

This 2010 article in Brides, mentions organic picnics

Inspiration for the summer ? Sure organic MSErs could do this more cheaply.

My two favourite foods shops (together with a few independent organics), and both easily accessible to me. :D (smug smiley)

In a Costcutter in Horn Lane, Acton W3 (relax, I just bought some bananas - no eat skin no buy organic, remember me? LOL), wandering around I saw an interesting ORGANIC item! Maize cakes, looking just like rice cakes, with the European organic leaf logo. Produced by Fiorentini. I bought a pack but can't remember the price now. They are delicious and I see that they are good for those on a gluten free diet too.

Ohh as I posted elsewhere, I've been eating like a sow at trough!:rotfl:

Yes they are franchises, so I don't know if all of them stock the same thing, which is why I specified where this particular Costcutter is.

Fiorentini are an Italian food company based in Turin (which is incidentally the main city of the area I was born and raised in ;)). They have a "biologico" (organic) department. Beside their own brand they produce branded foods for other companies both in Italy and abroad.

They specialise in organic products as well as in soy lecithin, brewers yeast and special dietary products such asd gluten free, egg free, milk free etc. Here is a list of their products ranges, which, although in Italian, can be worked out at least approximately (I'm always on hand for translation if need be). Where it says "bio" it means organic.

I was nosing around on The Co-operative website, having noted yet again there was nothing remotely organic in the offers section.

Did a Search on organic and came up with a salad recipe made with The Co-operative organically-grown salad potatoes.

Has anyone ever seen organic food in the Co-op ?

There's a bigger than average but not superstore Co-op in next town and I could go investigate of I'm at all likely to find anything.
