I doubt I could take advantage of the A&C or Riverford buy so many boxes and get 1 free as I'm not home enough on Fridays so I'd have to try a one off. Would be interested for a review on what you receive as I do want to try them at some point.

I don't order frequently from Ocado so I always have a 20% off voucher to use - will see now I've ordered how long it takes to send me my next one!! Otherwise if I don't order they send me 20% off £40 spend voucher every Tuesday for the forthcoming week (they used to send me 20% of £80 or £60 spend but I never used those and ever since they dropped to £40 spends).

It's hard to get a free delivery slot for a £40 order, the lowest is usually £2.99 but they very occasionally drop to zero too but I don't seem to get that so much these days and it's much more a chance thing to find them. Easy enough to get a free delivery on a £75 shop though as there are always those slots available but watch out as the longer you are on the sites the delivery slots appear to disappear and the prices go up, no doubt to panic people to order.. but clear the cookies repeatedly and the slots reappear (sometimes needs clearing a few times as they reappear at different prices and time slots!). With the 20% code it's £63 worth of shopping as max discount is £12.00. Combined with all the organic offers I find as I go along till I'm ready to order and it's a very good deal on organic.

Just added a price alert on MySupermarket for the Ocado veg box - looks like they reduce it every 2 months - so March might be a good time to try it if anyone wants to if it follows the same pattern!

I'm usually at work on Fridays when A&C deliver so this is a good opportunity for me to try the A&C box while I'm off. It hasn't arrived yet - when they delivered here on Tuesdays the box arrived by 6am! Later deliveries on Fridays would suit me better as chances are I'll be home from work when they come if I make it a regular order.

I probably won't rush to cancel my Ocado pass after experiencing the local Tesco on a Friday! A mix up with the milk delivery left us without skimmed milk this morning so decided to call in at Mr T as its the nearest place that sells organic dairy (would have meant a 5 mile trip otherwise). Car park utterly chaotic, drove round twice then parked offsite and walked back - all for a bottle of milk:mad:

Suma organic peanut butter in smooth or crunchy which I buy in Budgens, no added salt or sugar, no added oil, just peanuts. I've been buying it for 2.99 for 340g but just seen on Amazon

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Suma-Organic-Crunchy-Peanut-Butter/dp/B006MVVQAE

6 for 17.34 = 2.89 each with free delivery or subscribe and save for 15.61 = 2.60ish each.

I find the Meridian one is just as good but comes in larger tubs with bigger savings, £5.49 per kg with free supersaver delivery from Amazon.

Some time ago there was deal on Amazon and 6 x340 g crunchy peanut butter cost was 5.99 £
It wasn't organic but with no salt or sugar added, tasted really good. My son don't like crunchy peanut butter, but this one he ate it with pleasure and told me:"Mmm,Mummy it is actually very good!" :rotfl: He is 3.5 :TI Those crunchy peanuts were much smaller than in shop bought crunchy peanut butter.
Next time I will buy organic one! :)

So, A&C delivery finally arrived around 4 O'clock with many apologies as van had broken down. Medium fruit box (costs around £11) contained 7 large bananas, will be ripe in a couple of days; 8 kiwi fruit, all very firm; 6 smallish red apples, apparently this is one more than normal as some of the fruit was damaged so the extra was 'just in case'; 2 medium grapefruit, star ruby, I think; and 5 good sized clementines. Just had one of these, very juicy so hope the others are the same.

Also got milk, butter and grated cheese (this is on offer) plus free recipe book.

    Very pleased so far.

Thanks I just was thinking is it worth to order fruit box or better to buy fruits separately:j, looks that box is very good value!

Just on BBC News now, they are showing alternative sources of protein (to horsemeat) and they have some organic mealworms in smoked paprika, any takers? :rotfl:

The A&C fruit box sounds good ^ though 7 bananas in one go would be too much for me!

The Riverford small fruit bag ^ sounds better size for me maybe.

Was in Lidl Wembley Park this afternoon and looked throught their fruit and vegs but didn't see any organic stuff. Did get to stock up on organic wholewheat pasta though. :)
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.
