USDA certified organic food is being imported into UK under EU-US mutual deal.
President Obama is now changing USDA board structure so organic farmers get less of a voice and there have been changes which include allowing the use of synthetic weedkillers etc
Obviously that's not organic as we know it. Please avoid USDA certified food.
If you want to join the petition to get changes reversed you can as overseas resident sign up.

If we do nothing the USA will continue to export supposedly organic food which is adulterated with chemicals.
I will contact Soil Association. These products are becoming available in bigger stores - things like organic muesli and energy bars to name two.0 -

Ocado have got a lot of organic offers on at the moment, with some items being half price. I think the offers last until the 7th - there's some good deals on Daylesford and Laverstoke Park meats.0

Hi all,
Been a while since I've been on here. When I last posted I was in the Winchester region for university. Moving to Bristol next week for more university. I can recommend the Better Food Company for organic food if anyone is in the area! They stock mostly organic veg, meat, dairy, processed foods, and try and source it from as close to Bristol as possible. The meat for one is only from about 13 miles outside the city.
I hope to keep track of this thread again and to let you all in on organic goings on in Bristol!0 -

A lot of products are fine as long as you wash them - especially fruit that you peel like oranges.
However there are health benefits associated with organic milk.0 -

However there are health benefits associated with organic milk.
The most recent study does show that eating organic fruit and veg is equivalent to extra portions per day as full of antioxidants.
Organic milk yes but not so much if homogenised.0
