^ I've had things squished under the string too. The muffins sound good but bit expensive for two. Placed my orders this week, veg box, extra veg, mexican burgers to try (also on offer) and sourdough from Riverford, and few non veg bits from A&C.

Interesting article on the BBC about women in pregnancy reducing exposure to chemicals, though a) not sure why they don't advise women to go organic ie for toiletries if that's the case and b) this should be advice for everyone.. (though admittedly I like my non stick frying pan and occasional new car!).

Yup very interesting development re: pregnant women and babies.. when I'm in supermarkets it seems quite difficult to find baby food which isn't organic.

Seasalt has a sale on and organic tote bags included

Have now tried the Bran and Raisin muffins that came from A&C and can report that they were awful. Soggy and quite unpleasant, such a disappointment after the chocolate ones.

We also tried the Mediterranean burgers from Riverford and didn't like them much. With pasta and sauce maybe but not in a roll. A great deal of fat came out whilst cooking and they were very dry. Their ordinary burgers had been ok but nothing special. Think we will be making our own next time.
Looking forward to Riverford on Friday, have the fruit and veg box and a fruit bag coming.

Waitrose have Yeo Valley Organic Double Cream 227ml on offer at 63p. You can also get 35p back on this product this week from Top Cashback if you have an account :)

W/rose also have Yeo Valley big pots of yoghurt for 93p at the mo.

    Farmaround query

Hi folks, did anyone ever have any success with a Farmaround delivery? I seem to remember Edwardia having a terrible time with them but they didn't deliver in my neck of the woods then. I've just had an email from them saying they now deliver nationwide and offering fifty percent off a first order of fruit, veg and dairy. Sounds tempting but don't remember hearing any good vibes about their service.

^ I've not tried Farmaround yet but am going to do so soon - I think, given what I've read on the fb page, that they seem ok and sure they would sort out any issues, plus for me they are very much into non destruct eggs, milk, cheese etc hence why I really want to try them as I still feel guilty buying that otherwise.

The only reason I haven't so far is that each week I've had credits on either Riverford or A&C that I want to get back!

The Mexican veggie burgers from Riverford were very nice, re-ordered again this week. Trying the new salsa too this week. Will also try the new baba ganoush another week as I loved that when I made it. Terrible problems with the website this week though..

Ocado have given me a free smart pass trial for the summer but not sure I can be tempted back now!

Milk & More have the large YV yoghurts for £1 until 7 July plus Highland Spring 6 x 1.5l for £2.60.

Yup twas me who had probs with Farmaround. I wasn't impressed with the non-arrival or the customer service. Wouldn't try them again now as quite happy with my Abel & Cole, Riverford and Ocado combo.

The Wholegood organic strawberries 225g at Ocado currently 2 for £5 are worth the money mmm..Yeo Valley 450g pots - some are 3 for £3 right now at Ocado too.

I got 1.16 voucher from Ocado even though I saved over £17 in total at the weekend :D

Since Monday, Lidl has had Deluxe Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP 125g for 1.49 - which should be additive-free.

John West red salmon currently £3 Morrisons and they have Clipper organic 50 white tea bags 2 for £2

^ Did you see Calon Wen is now homogenised, think you bought this?

Thanks so much for posting the above link. I often add calon wen to my Ocado order if I'm running low on the Abel and Cole milk but not any more. Perhaps if customers were made aware of the advantages of non homogenised milk they might be able to make a more informed decision. I'm so disappointed by them.

Not drinking milk myself, I didn't even know what homogenised was till the earlier discussion on this thread, but I am surprised now at their decision and wonder if it was more Dairy Crest led than customer preference as I would have thought the types of people choosing this product would not be in favour of such a change

There's more comments on the facebook page where I saw the link.

Edit, having read all the comments, everyone seems really annoyed, no one seems in support of the change which makes it seem even more that it was not led by customer preference. What a shame, looks like they are losing lots of customers with this decision.
