    May I ask which branch?

Either on here or send me a PM?

They are full price on Waitrose and Ocado websites.

It was in the Croydon branch near East Croydon station - it's a small/medium size shop (not like the tiny Waitrose branches like the one near Wimbledon station) but not a big branch either. They were in the big reduced 'tubs'. They had shower gel, hand wash, various foot and body creams iirc, quite a lot of them.

I faffed for a while before resisting! Really fancied trying the hand wash though. I forgot to check the dates, maybe they were short date rather than end of line if they are still full price online.

    Hello to everyone

I am starting my organic living as of yesterday – my first full organic shopping took place yesterday (in 4 different supermarkets).

I have been using organic cosmetics for myself and my LO for the past year and not it is time to start organic eating J full time as previously it was only when there were great offers.

I am a great fan of Organic Coconut Oil (and ‘oil pulling’) - I use it mostly for my beauty regime. In Planet Organic they have it as well on sale for £5.89.

If you have toddlers I would recommend stocking up on Organix Goodies (on sale 4 pack of crisps for £1.49); Also Ella’s Kitchen Organic yogurts are on offer in Asda.

In terms of meat I was reading through most of the pages on this forum and many people recommend Abel and Cole. I will need to shop around and check other suppliers as well.

I bought organic fresh salmon from Asda as they have the cheapest (£16.99/kilo) not sure yet whether it is tasty. Also Kallko organic stock cubes are on offer for £0.72.

I am not drinking cow’s milk and stocked up on non dairy milk (Almond milk on offer in Tesco, Oat milk Oatley Organic on offer in Sainsburys).

I am so happy that I found this thread!!!

Hi britta44 and welcome to the thread !:T Please share your recommendations on organic beauty products :)

I've done the four supermarkets in an afternoon thing and at first I was really excited to even find organic food to eat.

By the time I'd been doing that six months I was rather disillusioned at the time and effort I was having to expend, just looking for premium price stuff in supermarkets awash with junk food.

I wondered whether anyone else was having the same problems and since organic food was rarely mentioned elsewhere on MSE I started this thread.

We the organic food thread buddies do use online delivery and mail order from supermarkets and independents as well as instore shopping with a variety of experiences from Amazing to Unbelievably Bad.

We're always friendly and if you have any questions ask ;)

Kirri my mother has loads of wild garlic in her garden and as I'd had to pay silly money for it from Foodari last year I asked if I could pick it. She's let the gardener loose on it with Roundup

Well done on scoring freebie olive oil :T Hope they have some left on Monday. I've ordered some asparagus available from 22nd. Also some organic strawberries for Monday. The Waitrose ones I had from Ocado were huge, verry juicy but also a tad hard which always seems weird in a strawberry to me..

OH doesn't like the pea, mint and courgette tarts from A&C, says nowhere near as good as a Higgidy or a Riverford ham and leek tart, taste more of egg custard than anything.

Roundup  Why didn't she eat it?? I've never had it..

Was really pleased to get the olive oil, are the A&C freebies random?? I've seen people commenting on various items they've had.

Since I've had the allotment I've found it really hard to buy things like asparagus and strawberries from the shop plus they never seem as good. My own will probably be very delayed though.

Will avoid those tarts, I'm not mega keen on pastry but if I do have things like that I tend to make them as they seem expensive to buy in comparison.

    Welcome Britta :)

    Thank you Ladies! :T

Edwardia - it also took me quite a bit to find organic products and truly speaking I was hoping that there would be more 'dry groceries' (I could not find organic vermicelli noodles anywhere).

Regarding my beauty products - I try to use natural, eco products (laundry - using ecoballs, ecover cleaning products; natural toothpaste); I have been using Dr. Hauschka creams for the past months and absolutely love it; for hair - Weleda products - I always buy them in Tkmaxx or home sense; Coconut Organic oil is my all-in-one - body cream, hair conditioner, dry skin treatment...

I have subscription to Glossybox and quite often they also give organic beauty products but nothing worth recommending

They could be yummy cakes with organic flour & butter, etc. :)

Anyway made me remember that I've not been able to get any organic Demerara sugar for ages - sets off the topping on a crumble lovely! Has anyone seen any, used to buy Billingtons...
