sams247 ooh I'm excited on your behalf, Planet Organic is on my list of places to try.

Got my order from Waitrose Garden today - organic slug killer and organic seeds - basil, summer savory, Staro chives, Moneymaker tomatoes, chervil, wild rocket.

Fire Fox and jenniewb thank you xx

Maman is coming here Easter Monday as MIL in hospital ATM and my mother lives too far out to be able to get to the hospital easily. I've rearranged orders and OH has promised to give me extra food budget. :)

Ocado is selling Burgon & Ball organic tomato fertiliser 3.99 and organic vegetable and salad fertiliser 3.99.

Organic raspberries are on BOGOF, Higgidy quiches are on special offer. Organico bottled antipasto veggies and passata are 20% off too and Clipper organic Earl Grey teabags are 20% off.

Here's my buffet lunch for Easter Monday providing it all turns up.
            Pea, courgette and mint tarts
            Mediterranean vegetable tarts
            Homity pies

Grilled zucchini in Extra Virgin olive oil
            Moorish marinated olives

            Seasonal salad
            Wild baby radicchio
            Wild rocket
            Spring onions
            Cherry tomatoes

            Potato salad
            Tzatziki
            Mayonnaise
            Home-made French dressing

            Smoked Glastonbury Cheddar
            Farmhouse Cheddar
            Mozzarella

            Raspberries
White chocolate and raspberry ice cream
            Vanilla ice cream
            Chocolate ice cream
            Clotted cream
            Creme fraiche
            Double cream

            Coffee
The Mediterranean vegetable tarts are additive free not organic and the clotted cream is additive free Rodda not organic and the wild baby radicchio is wild n Natoora but other than that all organic.

The raspberries are BOGOF, the ice creams, Med veg tarts, zucchini, olives, radicchio and vinegar for dressing are all offers and the Farmhouse Cheddar from Lidl ;)

Less stuff and more offers than at Christmas, and the lot for under £40 with obviously lots of leftovers OH can have for lunches :)

ETA OH just in and wound me up by saying it's gonna snow noo tho jacket spuds and sweet potatoes for them with soup or venison stew would be easier. Checked forecast 8C Monday :)

I'm sure the raspberries and the ice creams will disappear into my mother and husband tout suite whatever the weather :D I wouldn't normally be quite as generous but with them all on offer I thought why not.

I'll be eating the Med veg tart but not the pastry, beaucoup beaucoup salade, a fair bit of the fromage, none of the potato salad and definitely not the white chocolate and raspberry ice cream eww. They may have trouble wresting the clotted cream away from me though ;)

When I saw the Natoora wild baby radicchio Fire Fox I thought of you and Eat Purple. ;)

Wow, what a thread! So much useful information here. Thanks everyone.

Agree! Lots of interesting and useful info.

No boxes for us this week as trying to use up freezer and cupboard stuff. Might fit in a visit to Wholefoods though to see if there are any good offers.

            Happy Easter all :)

Hi Parattiver, welcome to the thread :j

I notice that you're in the USA. if you're wanting to save money on organic food I have a few suggestions.

Aldi does an organic range in USA and it's the parent store of Trader Joe's, so you may find stuff you'd get in Trader Joe's in Aldi more cheaply as well.

The biggest selling own-brand (private label) in the USA is Safeway's O range so presumably it must be reasonably-priced.

Walmart https://www.walmart.com and Amazon https://www.amazon.com both do organic food by the case which you can have shipped to you.

I found a farmer's market in Grand Rapids, MI

A couple of independent health food stores - Harvest Health Foods and Nourish Organic Market.

This is a great YouTube video on shopping organic on a budget
