Edwardia once oh gets the taste for chocolate there's no stopping him especially organic. It's just as well that the Sainbos offer didn't last long.

Looking forward to my A&C delivery tomorrow and although we make our own bread I've ordered the malted 5 seed sourdough bread from the Long Crichel bakery and the hot cross buns from the Authentic Bread Co. Wondering how they will compare to those we had from Long Crichel.

rufydoofyM, I'll be interested to see what you think of the Authentic hot cross buns. I really enjoyed the last batch we had, they were quite substantial (not the rather light, not much there feeling I get with mass produced s/market ones some time) and I like the flavours though I wouldn't have minded a bit more fruit. Am due for some Hobbs House buns with tomorrow's Riverford delivery so will be able to compare. Mind you, I'm a bit odd as I eat my HCBs as they come or lightly toasted but don't add any butter or spread as fat and I don't get on so that makes the flavour and texture of breads and buns more important to me :)

vincenta and alfsmum - I got a pack of 2 Spanish organic garlic bulbs for 59p at Morrisons on Saturday but haven't tried them yet.

alfsmum- I've seen the veg misters on videos of Whole Foods Market stores and I wonder whether constant exposure to water makes some veg go mouldy. One year I grew runner bens and watering them every day (which they loved) made the honeysuckle they were growing with, get mildew.

smallblueplanet - Yeo Valley does ice cream.. ooh where, lemme at it.. not that I should eat it really but I'll swipe some of OH's ;)

rufydoofyM - six pots of G&B chocolate ice cream  All gone ? Have to say OH would probably do that.

Edwardia , the misting hasn't happened much when we've been there but I do remember wanting to buy some broccoli on one occasion and having to use a plastic rather than paper bag for it as it was dripping wet. I don't buy much fruit and veg there really, prefer to rely on my boxes for that.

I don't get to Morrisons more than once or twice a year if that. Interested to know what you think of the garlic though.

Wow just checked out cocomayer tad pricey for me at £5 per 100g

Within the Riverford box today I'd ordered Montezuma large chocolate buttons. Was going to put them away for oh at Easter but he got to the box before me. So after our homity pie tonight we did some quality control and they are very nice. Cheaper than the bars on ocado which are £2.39 for 100g, the buttons were £2.75 for 180g (equivalent to £1.53 per 100g) Bargain me thinks and added to next order.

Will be trying the pork pie tomorrow.

As I was finalising my ocado due tomorrow I was about to order the breakfast bundle, Laverstoke sausages and bacon and what on earth large eggs all for £8.50, but I read the reviews and discovered that the eggs were Italian and not British  So promptly removed them from my order.

rufydoofyM, the Montezuma buttons are lush aren't they? OH's keep fit plan doesn't allow for much indulgence but he loves these and DD18, who is very fussy, has a taste for them too. Have a couple of bags on this week's Riverford delivery and an egg from A&C to hide away for Easter.

I also like Seed&Bean chocolate. Most of their bars are dark choc but they do a rich milk which is 4 for 3 at the moment with the code 'fund' (a donation to charity is made for each of the milk bars sold). http://www.seedandbean.co.uk/

Some posts earlier I reviewed the Morrisons organic button mushrooms as being unimpressive.. well the punnet of Morrisons large closed cup white organic mushrooms by contrast, really nice.. firm and flavourful, just the right size for slicing and only £1

Morrisons organic courgettes from Morocco 2 for £1.. again really nice, not bitter as some are in winter and a good size.

    I've been Money Tipped!
alfsmum have now tried the Authentic hot cross buns from A&C and they were very nice. Less heavy than the Long Crichel ones but I liked them just as much. Tried the top half cut in half with butter and with out. The bottom toasted with butter and all was very nice. My oh said they were a bit short on fruit but still enjoyed them. He's more of a tea cake fan and generally won't eat hot cross buns and dislikes all of the supermarket variations.

Have looked at the Seed and Bean chocolate and am very tempted :D

I visited another Asda and another Morrisons and still failed to find organic celery, did see organic salad veg and large onions which I have seen elsewhere anyway. Next mission will be a Morrisons 'store of the future' .... :p

Did get some Delamere goats butter tho just for a change (don't eat much but usually have unsalted organic cows)
"The milk is not classified as organic but all our farms operate low input systems in terms of fertilisers. For example, all the goats' manure is spread back on the land. We also treat sick animals with antibiotics, but only if absolutely necessary.

Of course, we're still a relatively young industry so we're perfectly placed to learn from mistakes made in other areas of livestock farming, then make sure we don't repeat them! For example, we don't push the goats for every last drop of milk or place them in stressful environments, keeping veterinary problems to a minimum ...

Given the right feed, they meticulously pick out all their favourite bits. They're also browsers, not grazers, so could survive on rough scrub.
In these pampered conditions, a typical diet consists of silage, hay and straw with a blend of cereals to balance their nutrient intake.
