Ooh Fire Fox those are the frozen organic veggies from Ardo I've been trying to find :j :kisses3: I might even forgive you for eating Israeli peppers
:D I will def have to work out when i can get those delivered.. awesome.
They attempt, they don't deliver.. don't they have GPS ?
I haaaate going food shopping. Maman (er not to be confused with maman on MSE) shalt drag me Saturday though. OH only likes Sainsbos organic teabags so I've been instructed to stock up.
I'm off to play with my website which should be up by end of month.
GPS sends supermarket delivery drivers the wrong way down a one way street, and yes I do use the 'notes to driver' facility but it doesn't get read or doesn't even get printed on their paperwork. I don't drive so my ability to give verbal directions is remedial at best. :rotfl: That is if they bother to come into the city centre or telephone me in the first place: I've had couriers claim nobody was home or they could not find the flat more than once, half and whole days wasted.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
That must be soo annoying. I would find out how they update GPS and then ask them to change it. I would also email the supermarkets and ask them to pass it on to drivers. Do drivers never give feed back to boss when GPS sends them wrong way I wonder ??
Got my first page up on website yay. May do a more sophisticated template later but at the moment it's all very cartoon like with a cartoon of a pink pig explaining What is Organic ? from YouTube.
There are some great organic videos on You Tube which I put on the thread way back.

Bought so-called organic garlic in Tesco. It was only when I got home saw they were from China! Organic? Hmmmm.................0

LadyDee, hello there :wave:IIRC Whole Foods Market in the USA got er stiffed over organic produce from China. I don't like Chinese garlic, but it's everywhere. I did find Argentinian in M&S and French at French Click but neither was organic.
Anyone else seen organic garlic ?0 -
I hope people don't mind me joining this thread.
One offer i've been using of late is BOGOF on ocado blueberries. These have found their way into many a american style blueberry pancake for a weekend breakfast.
Re: Garlic. I've bought organic garlic from sainsbobs before and this was OK. I've also bought garlic from the garlic farm on the Isle of Wight which was superb (thegarlicfarm.co.uk). Their smoked garlic is particularly good.
One thing I would add is that smaller "real" food businesses often cannot afford the organic certification and therefore i'd often consider provenance over certification.0 -
Yesterday I bought So Organic sweet pointed peppers from Sainsbury's (not on offer) to go on HM pizza - they were deeeeelish. They were Israeli and had the stamp of the soil association certified organic on the packaging....
...also had So Organic Sainsbury Cheddar 220g which we've been buying for ages - on offer 2 packs for £4.50.....A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step

Hi rojblake welcome to the thread
BACKFRMTHEEDGE I've bought those sweet pointed peppers (also called romano, romero or ramiro peppers) idn't realise they could be Israeli. They did taste great I agree.
The cheese offer at Sainsbury's covers quite a few organic varieties and is a long term offer. I always make a note of long term offers for the kitchen noticeboard so that I remember (a) I don't need to stockpile like crazy (b) I don't buy a worse offer.
Bought carrots from Riverford last week, didn't go a bundle on them. Ordered Ocado ones yesterday.
Got my mother a copy of the Riverford Cook Book for mother's dy0 -

Edwardia , looking forward to the website. What are you planning to feature?
Pouring with rain here today. A&C delivery due soon. Left last week's boxes outside in a black bag in case I was out but no point brining them back in now, they are rather damp.
Just a medium veg box today and some Hot Cross Buns from Authentic Bread Co which were lovely last week.
I didn't enjoy the rye sourdough from Riverford/Hobbs House which I mentioned a few days ago. Usually love HH loaves and this one has a lovely flavour but was very wet and dense, even for a sourdough. Left it for a couple of days, planning to use as toast, but it soon had a sheen of mould. Aarg! Hate waste...0
