Or how many do you have to enter before you win ANSWER - shed loads - it's a hobby not job!
Or I enter on twitter all the time and not won ANSWER - so do I and THOUSANDS of others and they don't win either

Although it has been discussed lots of times on other threads here, I still don't understand why people like to dredge up and publically announce misfortunes to try and influence prize providers to give them the prize :eek: :rotfl:

I've only been comping since the beginning of April and my main problem is me!!!! I cannot resist the urge to log on and enter more competitions when I should be doing something else like working! ironing etc!!! My husband says it is becoming a 'problem'. Of course I promise myself that I will just take a 5 minute break...and I'm still at it 2 hours later....


Oh and my mouse clicking finger!!!! It doesn't have as much stamina as me and starts to ache a few hours in!!!! anyone else get compers finger? or may be I'm just weird!!!


Thanks to everyone who posts comps, answers to comps and keeps the forum in such clear good working order. I am yet to find a comp that isn't already posted.

Not so much a hate really as a mild irritation, where a facebook competition posted isn't a competition it's a "When we get to 500 likes we might host a giveaway".

Firstly there may never be an actual competition. Secondly if there is and you have to do another step ie like and share it may never get posted. Finally the prize may well be so naff if one had known what is was going to be one would have never bothered in the first place.

Anything resembling a prize of a bed WITHOUT a mattress! Or come to think of it a mattress WITHOUT a bed ( especially when the company hopes you will buy one for £1000s !


And of course any MAMMOTH £250-esque runner up prizes.

Captchas did not used to bother me but now there are ones with black spots behind the text which makes them difficult to read and therefore frustrating.

Another thing, I am not sure why, sometimes i search for something on here and it comes up with no results when it's something that will be on the results as it works when I go back and search again (e.g. Empire or Shortlist). Does anyone know why this sometimes happens?

222 days until Advents! (just thought I would remind you!)

I think some of the captchas are a nightmare at the mo! I have to keep refreshing in order to read, copy and submit. My favourite captchas are when we are told to eg 'click on the banana' - so one click then submit!

I hate seeing a comp with a great prize but then have to let it go because a wedding date is required! I often think should I just make up a date and then if I win, I could just tell the company that I'd split with my fiance and we called the wedding off!? I wonder if they would still give me the prize? I haven't done it though!

let me say first im not the sharpest tool in the box.

and i spend 10mins searching wiki or imdb for an answer that can't be posted at owner request for a comp

to then have the same question and answer posted a few posts down

i feel like running into the wall, although better not next time it might take me 15mins to search

1. Getting a phone call like this... "Hello Ms Kubera you recently entered a competition to win <insert smashing prize>, unfortunately you didn't win but we thought you might be interested etc etc..."
