prizes that aren't as headlined ie win £1000 & when you go to enter 1000 winners will get £1, x activity & then you later find out it was a red letter day voucher that you could have used for something else. See latest big musical on any tour date & then find out there's only a couple of dates left when the comp closes all at the other end of the country.

The ones that need you already to own the product, mobile phone comps are worst for this, to win this latest phone take a a photo on it & post it here . Obviously these are aimed at for profit compers

I am the same :j I have entered that company's comp lots of times but every time I still have to re-read then re-read then re-read.......the stupid phrase and then I still don't know whether I have ticked it correctly NOT to receive the SPAM! :eek:

It may do, you are quite correct.

It never has for me though & I have won a few prizes over the years.

It did not cause an issue on either of my two big holiday wins & if anything had been said I would just blame it on an inputting error,as it is just one digit out.

It is a risk that I am willing to take.

a general one not really with comping but people who come on a forum and ask the same bloody question without reading previous topics that are what they are asking

I hate it when people post something like 'I got home to find a red 'sorry we missed you' card through my letter box - does anyone know what my parcel might be? ........ Yeah and how long is a piece of string!

Or similar....

'I had a missed call from a withheld number - does anyone know who might have tried to call me?' DOH!
