I apologise for my ignorance but to quote you: £10,000 thread! Peeps have been good enough to post the answers, one by one or such, as they found them.

Many people have wanted to thank in person, as sometimes happens on this board, many people can't get or afford the paper - particularly this type of comp. And believe me, its quite nice to see the human touch now and again! Do you not agree that occasionally its nice to see and enjoy banter between forum members.

Yes! Let's cut some slack now and again!

As I stated it was a poor example, I am exhausted to the point of not seeing my key board straight, most of my muscles in my body ache.

Finding answers to the comps, adding useful info is of course allowed.

    But

Saying Thank You to the op is not allowed who ever you are

  • Oops, my mistake it's 'could of' and 'would of' not 'should of'...

Oh good god. You learn the "could/should/would/might/must HAVE" construction in primary school! How so many people missed that part of their compulsory education is beyond me.

You'd think tattoo artists would make an effort to learn how to spell, wouldn't you?
However, in in their defence they're probably broad Yorkshire and talk like that all the time. Lots of people have commented on her picture saying how lovely it is :D

But then you get moaned at for bumping because people have subscribed to the thread and they're checking emails/subscriptions needlessly.

I think it's best if the main board is kept to comps and chat happens in CCC.

I agree chat corner is there for chat and as much banter as anyone wants.

"bumping" means more posts to work through when you start at the front as loads of old ones are mixed in and there is the time that is wasted reading through the posts in case there is anything you need to know before actually entering.
(doesn't bother me greatly but I can see how much time it would waste for people who enter loads)

Actually it wasn't, it was a typo because I am exhausted but I've found the funniest comments of mine are typo's :rotfl:

Assume the apostrophe in "typos" was a wind up after my previous post regarding unnecessary apostrophes in plurals :rotfl:

  • My pet hates are:

    - Bumping of posts, esp to anything I'm subscribed to and doesn't have anything constructive to do with the comp
    - the comping police (esp to newbies). Be nice please :D. If you feel the need to say 'don't bump the posts' then offer some advice as to why.
    - the misuse of the apostrophe
    - spelling errors
    - people pointing out other people's grammatical errors. It grates on me too, but it's not really that important is it?
