I think if people are repeatedly doing this they should be PMed by the board guides with a gentle message and a copy of the rules. Last time I checked they're responsible for keeping the place in order.

I think the reason why people are seeing other people me included posting to stop bumping the threads is because there are so many more people bumping the threads now than there was a few months ago.

I try & do it the best way possible. The rules were made with everyone in mind, if more & more people bump the threads you just wont be able to see the new comps being posted. The reason why it's clearly a new comp being posted is because there is little or no talk on the post it's self

One of my pet hates is comps to win a camera that require 'Photo effort' ....erm I don't have a camera ?! that's why I'm trying to win one!
Also ones to win a smart phone that you acually need a smartphone already to enter :mad:

Other forum users not reading threads carefully and ignoring helpful posts, then posting the exact same thing, or worse, something that is misleading. :mad:

Please read the threads, this would stop a lot of the bumping..

I dislike the sob stories too, I tend to avoid those ones. Like most people, I do have real 'sob stories', but I'm not going to put them out on the internet to try and win a Skylanders character!

My biggest comping issue though, is that I have finally become tech-comfortable, and have discovered chat forums, news sites, useless beauty channels and Doctor Who clips on YouTube, and a million other things that have me fascinated every evening until I realise that it's 11:57pm and I haven't started the dailies yet...

I hate bloggers who post 'silent Sunday' on a Sunday! Most of the feeds in my Google Reader on a Sunday all just say 'Silent Sunday'! If a blogger wishes to take a Sunday off, why post that!? It is a pointless post!

I also think it is a bit cheeky for a blogger to ask you to ask your friends to vote for them in blog awards as part of your comp entry!

My pet hate is my own daftness. I just managed to do a survey and then pressed submit without putting in my email address to enter the prize draw.

I have been known to put the wrong answer to a question despite the correct answer a) being obvious and b) clearly stated in the original post.

And frequently despite a post stating 'watch the tickboxs' pressed submit and then notice those pesky tricky tickboxs.

Must pay more attention when comping....

Confusing tickboxs and complicated captcha's are my more general comping pet hates though

Ooh yeah, also the ones that say win an X Box, then 5 runners up will win a copy of an X Box game. Like that would be any use, cos I don't HAVE an X Box, that's why I'm trying to win one!! If I had one to play the game on, why would I enter?!
