If I may add, please ask the pharmacist next time for generic brands of cough mix, the branded ones are very pricey, and dont do much better than basic meds. for ex, my hubby uses a nasal spray, Otrivine, we get the generic one from B and M stores for a £1, same with strong mouthwash like Corsodyl.
Every bit helps. Have a snoop in those bargain shops, last week I found tinned tomatos reduced to 4 for 30p. good for cheap choc and crisps too.
GEt better soon.0 -
I get my parcel tape etc from poundland, 4 rolls for £2! I would buy generic paracetamol from tesco (16p!), but stuff like nightnurse just costs what it costs.
paid rent today £200.
Got budgeting loan (£105) this isn't free money as repayable, but it is 0% so I'm gonna put it against capital one.
Bad news is electric bill is in £70 for the quarter and I'll need oil next month (£100)! Hopefully I can get a few things sold to offset this!
Went to Ikea to look up a kitchen for my Gf. £1200 + 300 fitting i'snt bad (shes buying it for her house not me!), but I'm gonna have another look. Only thing I bought was meatballs for tea, with a drink and a coffee etc this came to about £6 and busfares today were £3.50 (it just isnt walkable from where I live, bus I had to head into town for bank and to sign on, so used a day ticket)
First driving lesson spends starts tomorrow too £75 for 5 lessons.
Need to get groceries as well, so can cut down food spends for the next week, I'm still not feeling 100%, but getting well enough so I dont feel like death! lol0 -
You seem to be a bit touchy and defensive in your replies to me, so I will leave you to it.0

Not my intention at all, I just meant to pass on a few things I get cheap from poundland and cheap paracetamol in tescos (its even cheaper than poundland!). Bit hard to shave money on nightnurse as its a pharmacy only medicine and I don't know of a non branded alternative.
Paid for next 5 driving lessons yesterday (£75) and then ended up at pub on friday for few drinks (£12). Not too bad all in. Driving lesson was a bit of a pain as instructors car was a petrol instead of normal diesel that I find much harder to drive. Melt.0 -
Gah, well was my birthday weekend (its my birthday on friday).
Ended up in the bar on sat and must have spent about £50 going out.
Grrr, I should know better when times are tight.
Monday is back to business and getting some cash in order.0 -
Well got the cash up for the remaining 5 lessons and insurance on the day for driving test (£150!)
I've £70 electric to pay next by the 5th and then oil £100 (this should do me until end of dec and electric til jan) and try and figure how I can get up some cash for capital one!
Oh and its my birthday today, I'm doing some driving lessons and then dinner with family (at home!).0 -
