You need to look at more saving tips on here re food. Seems you are still over spending.
My total food spent last week (actually 10 days) was 30 quid. Since then I've been pretty ill the past few days and havent really been able to get to the supermarket for a big shop. Once I'm better It'll be back to normal.
Where is NI? Did you not really want to practice law ?
Northern Ireland, Read what I said about your able to practice. A law degree doesen't make you a lawyer. You need to do a training contract as well as post grad study in England. I would say probably less than 20% of law graduates actually go on to practice.
why did a meet with Gf cost a tenner? does she know you are a bit skint?
Two coffee's, two buns. I'm afraid this is all a bit personal so I won't go further.0 -
I agree Smithfield re. Lpc
Well done on the eBay sales but I agree with the pp you need to be careful with what you spend on food. I meal plan which has cut costs for my family, give it a go, write a list and only buy what is on the list.K&Co (0%) [STRIKE]£58.40[/STRIKE] £0; Nat West O/D (18%) [STRIKE] £950 [/STRIKE] £937.26 Barclaycard (21.9%) [STRIKE]£1,039.01[/STRIKE] £799.06; Barclayloan [STRIKE]£4,756[/STRIKE] £4,637; mum (0%) [STRIKE]£35,000[/STRIKE] £35,000 0% Total Debt [STRIKE]£41,803.41[/STRIKE] £41,373.32 :eek:0 -

Hi Smithfield,
It sounds to me like you're doing a great job with all that life is throwing at you! I fell apart on my first test too, but the second one felt easier as it lacked the unknown at that point. You've done well on getting the funds together to take the test again in a reasonable time. You sound very determined.
I hope things all sort themselves out with the job seeking, driving tests and gf issues.0 -
I second what Muffintops said, and would like to add that I wish any of my ex-boyfriends could have cooked the things you make! For the money you're spending, you're eating seriously well. Mm.:rotfl:Barclaycard [STRIKE] £2770 [/STRIKE] now £2690.

Yes I'm hoping so, you get very used to the safety net of a familiar instructor. I had the added bonus of insane traffic, flash floods and torrential rain on my test day lol. As regards everything else, nothing to do but soldier on.
Long as I pass test that's me off JSA. I've always worked or been studying, I find being out of work really annoying not just financially but i'm used to being busy. Thanks for you post, very kind of you.0 -

I grew up with foodie parents, we lived in a house full of spices and cookery books lol. They used to get my kid sisters to make fruit salad for dessert to teach them how to chop things from early on.
I seem to be learning that the way to make nice things cheaper is making a large amount then the per portion cost reduces. It's good in the winter I enjoy casseroles and roasting etc so cheaper cuts usually feature anyway.0
