Morning All, how is everyone? Money I spent over the weekend still to come off bank balance. Work? Waiting to hear start details for next week, current work - waiting to speak to them before I can speak to agency. So I can't make a move on it. Slightly frustrating. Also worked out that if I drive to new work and park car (at the moment I pay it and can claim it back) it'll cost me around £3500 a year!!!!!. So looked at the train and thats almost as bad so I think it'll be bus to work. Can't believe how expensive it is.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Good luck with everything Uni (and ouch to the parking!)Must use my stash up!0

Ouch to the parking indeed, but great news about the job! Hope OH gets something else sorted soon too.
When you really have to count the pennies, it's amazing what you can do with your weekly shop!Well done so far! Don't forget about the yellow stickered stuff! Just make sure you've lots of room in your freezer!
Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Thanks KW, HAW. OUr freezer is pretty full, I'll need to see what I can use out of it. We got hot dogs for tonight but after buying the jar thinking it would be cheaper it turns out that the ones in the chill in Aldis is actually cheaper so I could have saved 60p.
Everyone at my current work now know I'm going and its a little nerve-wracking. Been here over a year on and off so I know everyone. I don't get my first pay till June so I'll need to be careful with the pennies for bills at the end of this month etc.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. It looks like the bus will be the cheapest way to go (its a good 10-15 min walk from bus station to work and 5 min walk from car park at bus station to car but that'll do me good!), both driving (and parking) and getting the train would be nearly £200 more a month. Thats just not feasible.
OH still quite down, no work for him yet. He wasn't too well last night but so far this morning has done all the garden so its nice and tidy.
Got car tax through so I'll need to get that paid asap. Tempted to just pay 6 months but I know come November I'd regret that! OH owes me money (a few hundred pounds) but that won't get paid back till he gets a job and/or get paid the wages owed from the last place which are still outstanding.
My weight has gone back up, put back on 1 stone almost of the 1.5 I lost. Thought I'd been careful about what I've been eating but guess not! Think I need to keep a food diary and see where I'm going wrong.
OH's niece strikes again. This is the one that got an engagement ring like mine and then accused me of copying her (we got married years ago but OH bought me a new ring at the start of last year, 6 months before she got hers). Her latest is taking the quite unusual double name we chose for our little one and using it for her LO she's expecting. She sent a text to everyone except OH and me announcing its name. I was livid she never said or asked. OH thinks I'm getting upset over nothing. But I think what she's done was down right rude. My blood is boiling just thinking about it. Sorry.
Nervous about starting my new job, will be sad to leave here but its perm work and at least there's a few people there I know.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Morning All, how is everyone?
Bank balance checked, I have £40 till pay day (friday). Will have to take money out of my savings to pay for the road tax, but will put back what I can once I get this pay and next weeks. But it may have to wait until I get paid from new job as I have the bills at the end of the month. But better I get a years tax than 6 months.
Only £2 away from a pay out on YouGov and its taking an age for other surveys to come through so I can get a pay out. They have a Green offer in work today but forgot to advertise it, so missing out on swapping an old style light bulb for a new energy efficient one and on swapping CD's/books etc.
I ordered a tablet for SS birthday and was really surprised what I got for £50. Its really good, as good as the more expensive ones. Just need to set it all up with apps etc and then get it wrapped. He'll be warned though not to have a tantrum if he can't work something and break it like he did his laptop (which OH got him and that was £400!).
Got my travelcard for new job, only a week to start with as I may drive in one day as I have stuff to do and there's the bank holiday but the ticket I got is flexible meaning I have a week's worth to be used at any point during one month. I'll need to clear out my handbag so I'm not carrying anything unnecessary.
I got a new makeup bag...... a pencil case! So much cheaper (20p)and its a plain colour so it means I can clean it much more easily.
Dinner tonight bangers and mash. OH is getting bored at home, he's tidied the front and back garden and cleaned the driveway.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Morning All, how is everyone?
OH has had some good news, he starts a new job (temp) on Monday. Its better wages than the previous role (we're still waiting to see if he'll be paid for that one) and he's weekly paid. We had a row last night over a text I received (someone with the wrong number, they didn't reply after I texted and said you've got the wrong number, he thinks that weird) and he thinks I must know them! Asked him how many times he's misdialled a number! I'll be glad when he gets back to work and gets stupid thoughts out of his head. It didn't help SS was moaning at him yesterday but I think what SS fails to realise is I get the brunt of it! OH had argued with SS over his phonebill as it was sky high. SS doesn't get paid till after the phone bill is due out.
Couscous salad for lunch, and I'm looking forward to it. My weight seems to have plateau'd and isn't budging so hoping once I'm back to exercise shortly it'll start moving and I can lose about 3 stone. Decided as I lose weight I'll alter my clothes rather than buying new ones as can't afford to replace things at the moment.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Sorry to hear about the row, but yay on the temp job! hopefully once he is back in work he will calm down a bit.Must use my stash up!0
-
I hope so KW, I don't think the fact he owes me so much money helps and then SS running up a huge mobile bill and then expecting us to pay it until he gets paid. OH also sits his driv test soon as well and I know thats praying on his mind.
Did some more one poll last night but nothing on yougov yet. I'd really like to get a pay out before the end of the month. It would be very handy!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera.
