To an extent KW, but he's been told that any nonsense and never mind the end of the year it would be end of the week.

How is everyone? OH paid me some of the money he owes me, so I've paid some money to the cc's and put some money in my savings. OH is working tomorrow so I'm off to visit my Gran.

How is everyone? This heat is horrible. Added some more to the 2014 budget. OH still working all sorts of hours but at least its money.

Updated my total for 2014. OH gave me money that he owed me and extra to pay his way. I've put this away in my savings. Might sound silly, but trying to build my reserve back up.

Trying to cut back on the food bill, even OH is slowly coming round to lists! Started stocking up on a few bits and pieces for birthdays/Christmas as I see them. Hopefully this will help keep the cost down. Scouring the freebies lists as well to see what I can get for Christmas stockings. Work is doing a deal on Asda vouchers (5% off), so got some for my Gran and Mum to help cut the cost of their shopping.

How is everyone? OH has given me £200 and got ~£20 from tarot and a competition win. I'll add these to my total.

Been stocking up on bits and pieces as I see them for Christmas and Birthdays. A local shop has been selling white packaged Cava (a decent brand) for £4.99 a bottle. With the white packaging it looks quite Christmassy so that's 4 presents taken care of.

Hello All, slowly adding to the Christmas present piles. Ordered OH's birthday presents and the company put on the address label what it was! So surprise ruined. Got him other bits and pieces but it would have been nice if his main present had been a surprise.

As you can see from my total I've beaten the 2014 total. Feeling quite chuffed about this. Managing to keep the food costs down, got my latest clubcard voucher (I prefer to use this for food treats), so used these today for green beans (Aldis don't stock these and I adore them), some cakes (YS) for munching during Wimbledon final and a few other things.

OH starts a new job tomorrow, so it'll be 2 weeks before he's paid but at least the monthly bills are paid for July.

You are doing so well with your shopping, I don't have to buy many as my siblings and I came to agreement just to buy for the children (who arre mostly grown up now, so don't gift to them either).

Well done with beating your challenge too.:D

I'm really pleased Maddiemay, it should have all gone to debt but not working for 3 months at the beginning of the year scuppered that idea. Still getting to grips with new job and been driving more than I said I would (as I've not been too well and couldn't face sitting on a warm bouncy bus feeling sick, but didn't want to take time off so soon into a new job). As for Christmas presents I really want to be completely organised early.

    Hi Uni
Has the job settled down a bit now? Well done on getting started on the present drawer. I am lucky in that all my nephews and nieces are overseas, so I just have to send them cards and cheques. I only get presents for my two smallest nephews who are under 3. And very cute lol.

Glad OH has got some more work. Is there any way he could upskill himself into more stable employment? Plenty of free courses online.....
