How is everyone today? Got books through the bookclub at work, they'll be put aside for presents except one which is for myself. All really good prices, so I'm pleased that I have a few birthday/christmas presents in.
The weather is definitely warmer, tomato plants are now planted but they still indoors since we had frost this morning. Hoping for a decent crop this year. I've not really bothered with anything else, I still have the herbs but not planted potatoes, onions or lettuce this year.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Tomato plants seem to have taken a stretch almost overnight. Trying to be good food-wise, had fruit instead of crisps (even though I wanted crisps) but will save my treat for later in the week.
Still waiting to hear back from the company that are carrying out checks for new job, seems I've confused things changing my name when i got married even though I told them about it and had all the documentation. So the agency are trying to sort it out now. It'll be 4 days wages next week and the week after due to the bank holidays so I'll need to adjust my budget to suit. Got a quote for my parking and its cheaper than I was previously advised, only by £10 a month (but I'm seeing that as basically my tv license or an extra debt payment!).
Thinking back how many times I've tried to sort my debt out only to lose a job etc, I'm determined to do it this time as if I hadn't been out of work for such a long period then my debt would have been paid off by now. I have to stay positive and remind myself that I have paid off nearly 20K since I first came on here, but still it would be nice if my DFD was just around the corner.... still got a way to go!!!!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Morning, how is everyone? Hoping my pay goes through today since its the holiday weekend. The company doing checks for new job needed more documentation... the joys of changing your name when you get married. They reckon it'll take about 4 weeks to go through, I'm just glad I have a job at the moment!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. It definetly does KW, I've had to provide around 20 pieces of documentation for this. To be fair the new company have been extremely helpful, but I'm guessing that the company doing all the checks will give priority to those who will be working at the commonwealth games first (I know a few people going through vetting for that and they've had to wait 3 weeks so far and still nothing) so I don't know how long mine will take.
As for debt stuff I've been throwing as much as I can at my highest interest cc, so hopefully that'll make a difference. Its been a few pounds here and there and this morning 18p but the way I see it is its more I don't need to pay interest on. I can't wait to be debt free, just wish it was a lot sooner. OH should be back working again soon so that will take the pressure off.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You have done so well even though you have had some really tough times, but you will get there, and as you say every penny you pay will be one less penny that you pay interest on.
Hope the paperwork sorts itself soon, enjoy your Easter break.:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

Had a nice long weekend. Just hoping my hours get approved for last week in time for getting paid this Friday (manager is off but said he would approve my hours). Can't believe the long weekend is over and its back to work tomorrow. On the plus side, the kitchen has been gutted and all the carpets cleaned.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Morning All, not having the best of days. Remember I said the job I'd been offered they need to do various checks? Well I have an extremely common name so because its come up with other people's entries they need to check its not me, we're not talking one entry but lots! This is even for addresses where I have never visited never mind lived! Its just for people with the same name as me. I know they need to check it but I'm quite angry, surely they realised a name as common as mine would throw up other people with the same name!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera.
