How is everyone today? Didn't manage the dusting and hovering yesterday. Ended up tidying the kitchen last night then off to bed early. Still feel like I haven't slept well. OH is probably finishing his job today too, but they are keeping it up in the air. Still nothing about the temp job (feel like I've been totally let down), my agent is off this week and I emailed one of the others but still nothing. If the job is off, I'd rather they just tell me. Waiting to hear about the other ones I went for interviews at earlier this week. I just want to get back to work. I was talking to my Mum last night and I was saying to her that I don't want to completely drain my savings whilst waiting to get another job. I've used 40% of my savings which makes me quite sad. Mad as many cut backs as I can (weekly shopping is around £30), and trying to bring in as much extra as I can (through surveys, ebay and my extra job) but finding it difficult.

    On the do list today:

Washing (which is now on the line drying)
Make dinner (not decided what to make)
    2nd job
    Surveys
Paperwork (stuff to catch up on, made a few calls already).

Anyone else finding it a little cold today? Got a bag of toffees (Mr A, 32p) for my Gran for Mothers Day. I'll take them out of the bag and put them into a nice cellophane bag and get her some flowers. Not seen what I want to get Mum yet (a little thing).

Well, no word about any job. The carpet cleaner is beyond repair (its about 10 years old but breaks when I really need it as there's oil on the carpet), and I broke my cafetiere jug.

How is everyone? OH paid in just about all of his wages yesterday so that's enough to cover the mortgage. He's now out of work unless he gets a call back next week. Managed about £26 from my extra job. Not a lot but it does help. We're both feeling a little under the weather today. Shopping list is written but I'll wait until tomorrow to shop for food, we have enough to finish off. Funnily enough I had the last mince pie earlier. Trying not to waste anything.

Surveys all done, earned another voucher.

How is everyone? I'm having a down day today. I've heard nothing job wise and now think I've made a huge mistake turning down the other job. Even with all the travelling it would have been wages coming in. Feeling very confused.

Moneywise, added money made last week from 2nd job and money made today from taking clothes to recycling place. I was really angry as it seems now they don't accept certain brands (i.e. Primarni) even though they were new! The chap tried to say the stuff was well worn till I showed him the tags still attached. So I came back with half of what I went with.

Hey uni! Things have been a bit  in your house recently! Hope they've all calmed down now. Guys can be a bit :mad:emo11.gif:wall: [STRIKE]sometimes[/STRIKE] most of the time. I have kinda learned to ignore (to an extent!), not take it personally, and offer a cuppa tea instead :D Can't say it always works but anyway....

Any word about any jobs yet? I had 3 interviews and got turned down for 2 so far. Still haven't heard about the 3rd yet. Thankfully this wee job is working out ok for me, so in no hurry to change again just yet.

    Hello HAW, Hello everyone

How am I? Not brilliant, very close to tears. What's happened? Where to start? :(

    - my car is giving me problems and having trouble getting it started. OH tried to help me but ended up being more of a hinderence and nearly shorted battery by not listening to what I said (posted on one of the other boards)
    - turned down for job I went for last week as they thought I'd done too much temp work (er, not my fault its just there's been NO permanent jobs available)
    - OH is sleeping all the time and its doing my head in. Slightest excuse he goes to sleep. He's blaming no job but he knew that the job he's had for last 2 weeks was only temporary.
    - jumped through various hoops for other job interviews and getting nowhere

but company I worked for recently called and they want me back. The job I was supposed to be starting has been cancelled ( why did they not tell me before now?), so they've offered me something else. Again temporary but they've increased wages from last time. They want me to start next week (but still to be confirmed again). OH hasn't been helpful saying 'they'll probably shaft you again', ..... yes thanks I really don't need to hear this. He's moaning that I've been off for 2 months and should have cleared the house/painted etc. But anytime I say right I'm going to do it he says leave it and I'll help you. Then when you say he says he's too tired. I've definitely taken a leaf out of your book HAW and offering a cuppa rather than get upset but its difficult. I'll actually be glad to get back to work for a bit of me-time. I won't get paid till April so I'll need to sacrifice savings to pay end of March bills.

How is everyone, getting ready for going back to work. Got packed lunch stuff ready and had to get new shoes (as heel broke on my old ones).

Great news on the going back to work front, even though things have not been straightforward.

As far as your OH is concerned I think that you should tell him that if he cannot say anything helpful and positive that he should just keep quiet, I just don't get relationships where people are always looking for support, but never even consider offering it to others. He obviously is not going to change so I guess you will have to develop an elephant thick skin or give him a hard whack with the frying pan:D

    Take care.
