Well picked OH up and we had macaroni cheese for tea but made with Brie (which needed used up), very scrummy! :D

Got my roadtax, £175 _pale_ so it should be here in a few days. I also bought my Mum a small laptop which I got for £75. I really hope its ok. My dilemma now is do I give her it before Christmas or not? She could use it for work, I'll need to get an external dvd drive for it, a mouse and a case but I think the last two I can get from Poundland. The drive I can get from Ebay.

OH bought new runners for the hall, £21. We've a really long hallway so needed two (15ft hall). Tbh I could have done without it (moneywise) but we did need them as the last ones were completely done.

I think thats it for tonight, off to make packed lunches for tomorrow and prep my clothes. Night All.

Morning All, not quite woken up yet. Having a cuppa, then going to grab some toast and coffee. A lot of running about today. Got OH's packed lunch stuff to pick up as he's back to work tomorrow (i.e. fresh stuff), prescriptions and other general stuff.

On the money front, paid £1.82 to Beast (I'll adjust the total later). Not a lot but every penny helps. Trying to keep it so that if say I had £31.83 in my account then close to pay day I'd pay £1.82. Leaving £30 if I needed it and a buffer of a penny as I hate my account saying 0 (Carry over from paying off my overdraft 4 years ago I guess! :D). Got given little pots of jam yesterday but they are cocktail flavoured! Not sure I fancy that, might see if my friend who is visiting on saturday would like them as booze flavoured isn't quite my thing. I also got given a new tea towel.... thats more me! Lol

Knit_Withch I'm not a big drinker if it had been G&T maybe but its cosmopolitan, pina colada and malibu flavour!

Had my lunch, crackers and cheese and grapes. Busy day and my feet are killing me already.

Thanks Knit_Witch and sorry for the typo with your name!

Home, feet up. OH is watching the Scotland/England football match. Found a home for the boozy jam, a colleague from work. Working from home tomorrow as I have a parcel coming. Hoping it comes early as my PPI cheque arrived and I want to pay it into the bank. Thank you :money:, result getting over £1000 back.

Morning All, how is everyone? Working form home today. Waiting for the laptop I ordered for Mum to be delivered. Checked the website and it was on way to big city (nearest) depot at 1am. No updates since then. Hoping it arrives this morning as that means I can nip out during my 'lunch break' and go do:-

    - pay in PPI cheque
    - pick up e-cig stuff for OH (he's not smoked now for 5 weeks)
    - quick visit to HB as they have sealable bottles which I need for making toffee vodka as pressies for christmas

So keep your fingers crossed it shows up this morning. I was very naughty this morning, after dropping OH at work I stopped at McD's for a take-out breakfast.

OH is not happy this morning. SS refused to take him to shops yesterday to get my anniversary present. OH said to him (SS) his room is getting emptied whilst he's on holiday, he can move somewhere as soon as he's back. .... I know he'll give in..... that is unless SS something else. OH is also not happy with one of his colleagues. When his colleague had his car (shared with his wife) he would drive and would pick up OH and drop him off. When he didn't have the car we would pick him up and drop him off. He insisted he didn't want dropped off at his door, and we both asked if he was sure. He said yes. Last week he was saying some things about not getting on with one of the others. OH sent him a text yesterday to ask if he needed a lift to and from work today and he replied to say he wouldn't need a lift going forward as he was now car sharing with the chap he was bad-mouthing last week! OH just can't understand it. He's also quite angry as it means I won't get a lie in for weeks. He says he's going to ask SS but I know what the answer will be. OH says he can't wait to pass his driving test.

Morning All, well I didn't get to pay my cheque in yesterday. OH is now out of work. Long story, but he was coming home each night with huge gashes on his arms and legs from the work. He split his knee open last week, it was bad enough that it should have needed stitches but OH being OH refused to go so I patched it up. So he's job hunting today. Yes, it means probably another temp job but so be it. He phoned a few agencies yesterday and they're going to call him back today. One may have some work but we're not sure where the place is.

My Mum's laptop arrived, its lovely and well worth the money! Ok, it came with XP but that won't matter to my Mum. Just need to get a small case and a mouse (the latter I know I'll get in Poundland). I'll put anti-virus on it and check its got all the software she needs. It doesn't have a DVD drive so I'll need to buy an external one. I've seen these on Ebay for around £10. So after my discount I got the laptop for £60. Can't wait to give it to my Mum. Not sure I can wait till Christmas. Need to think of something special for Dad as his birthday is next month.

Got an order for another hamper, but it needs to be ready for tomorrow. Going tonight to get the rest of the stuff I need for it.

  • Happy Friday :)

:T on the PPI cheque, but get it paid in today please!! ;)

Any progress with SS? Liked this bit
his room is getting emptied whilst he's on holiday
    :)

Oh sounds to have had a rough time at his work. If he's coming home damaged every day maybe he is better out of there. Fingers crossed something/anything turns up very soon and he gets back out there again.

Bargain laptop! Good job!! I'm sure your mum will love it! You should be able to get a few accessories in £land no problem.

Busy day ahead for you by the sounds of it. I'm hoping my work flies in and its hometime very soon!!

Tomorrow is the pamper day for me and the girls! So excited about it :) As are they!!
