HAW, did you have a nice christmas? Yes, a lot going on. Applied for quite a lot but don't expect to hear back for a few weeks till everyone is back from holiday. I would love not to touch my 'pension' money which I've mentioned before but if I haven't got something by end of jan I'll need it to go towards the bills.

Happy new year!!! Hope you get some good news soon and 2013 gets off to a good start
Yes had a lovely christmas. Was great to get catching up with family and friends I haven't seen in a while. How was yours?Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Happy New Year to you too HAW and to everyone else if you stumble upon my blabberings. Christmas was spent at my Gran's with OH and my Mum. Turns out that SS threw up on SIL's spare bed and has ruined the mattress (huge stain and the mattress had only been bought). We've told him he has to pay for it and he just smirked so OH said he wasn't getting out of this one. He's not happy but he needs to learn respect for others stuff.
I'm still full of the cold and not being able to breathe through my nose is giving me a sore head.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Happy New Year Unix!!
Sorry, been AWOL for quite a bit, been so busy with making things for fairs/xmas presents. Also having three jobs other than my crafting keeps me busy!! Thought I would have a go at popping onto MSE at least once a week...I have missed everyone here!!
So sorry to hear about you being jobless again. Hopefully you can find a new one soon. DH was made redundant mid-October, so he is busy job-hunting too. Everyone seemed to shut down job-wise mid-December down here. He got a good redundancy package, but I know he is getting down about it all now.
One good things is my house is getting cleaned more regularly!!! I can't hoover due to my back, and with both boys now at Uni, he was doing it at the weekends, now it's twice a week
Sorry to see to that your SS is still playing up...rotten so and so!!
Here's to a super start to the year, where you get the job of your dreams and SS dissapears over the horizon...after he has paid all his debts that is!!
Good luck with everything xxxx

Thanks Keiss. Be careful with your back. OH has ordered one of those mini dyson's (even though I told him not to) but I can't manouvere the big hoover on the stairs so hopefully it'll help. I didn't realise your OH had been made redundant I'm sorry, has he had any luck with interviews?CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Thanks Unix. He's only had one official face-to-face one (too technical), another on the phone (not technical enough!!) and another informal discussion (great job, but not enough money
). The rest have not been interested, or not replied.
Trying not to worry too much...his redundancy money could/should last us a year with careful planning, but hoping he'll get a job soon. He's a quiet soul (unlike me) and doesn't say much (again unlike me!!), so getting him to talk about how he is feeling is rather difficult at times. I have been trying to work as much as I can, but none of my jobs pay that well or are more than a few hours a week. Wondering if I should be looking for something more full time...we'll see how things go. Mind you, I am in charge of the sewing machine shop all of February as my boss is off on a cruise with his wife...that'll help the coffers!! I'll still only bring in a third of what DH would earn in his old job...but better than nothing!
As for my back, I have worn facet joints (three pairs in lower back), and the twisting motion you do when hoovering/sweeping becomes really painful very quickly. I am also banned from using a hula-hoop and machine at my gym which exercises the obliques...just one of those things. Not that I miss hoovering!!!
Right, back to my sewing. At the shop tomorrow, so sorting out which sewing I am taking with me...useful I can sew while at work!!!
Good luck with your applications

Apparently you've passed it on to me...
Only messing. There's so much of it going about there's no escaping it! I'm stuffed today. OH yesterday. Hopefully an overdose on lemon, honey and vitamin c should helpWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Hello all, went a little awol over the xmas period because we still don't have any internet at home.
Went home "home" to see the family which was nice but I was definitely ready to come back to London!
Back at work today which is a bit of a shock to the system to say the least!
Sorry to hear you didn't get the job. Keep your chin up though, you'll get therex

Thanks Keiss. What is it your OH does? Why do I have it in my head its IT stuff? Try CWjobs and Monster. I sent off some more applications and had one knock back already so we'll see what happens with the rest.
Back doing my tarot (and glad to have it) no redundancy to fall back on this time. Yes I have my pension money (from my last perm job) but thats not even enough for one month's bills (about 2 weeks worth). So I am thinking of everything I can.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera.
