We went to see the Hobbit on saturday night. Not as good as I hoped. But it was the late showing so we got home about 2 then decided to watch the finale of Boardwalk empire. So it was about 3ish before we got to bed. OH had to wake me up the next day (yesterday) and when I looked at the clock it was 1pm! Couldn't believe I'd slept through till the afternoon. So we got up, got ready and went out and got the bits and pieces for the nappy cake. All in I made £9, not a lot but better than nothing.

Well its my last week
. The call from my agency was just to say they've sent me my termination notice (nice eh?) which they need to as need to for paper trail.
Called a few agencies and waiting for calls back. Applied for 3 jobs over the weekend and had one knock back already. Wondering who knows in work and who else is going. People that would normally speak to me haven't said a work. Its all very bizarre.
Money wise I'm panicking. I have enough for my bills at the end of this month and will have about £200 left over if I'm careful. Thankfully I have the tarot but its not guaranteed pay. SS is due to pay his dig money at the end of this week and I might put that away into my savings to earn a little interest. I need every penny i can get. I just wish someone would give me a break. 2 redundancies in 3 and a bit years, this and nearly a year without work. Its taken its toll. OH is trying to persuade me to take a break but honestly we can't afford to. I know this though once I am back in work I am going to put away some money, just in case as this feeling is awful!.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. It's a big blow, unixgirl
Like you say, you've been through redundancies before and been out of work for a long time. Remember though that you've come out the other side. It will be tough, there's no denying that. But you're sensible. You budget. You plan. You will be fine
I've my fingers crossed that a job will come up very soon for you. Something, anything, a few hours, just to keep you going until something else turns up.
*hug*

Thanks HAW, saw on your diary you said its amazing how quickly everything changes. It is isn't it? Posted on the OS board asking the peeps there to ask the universe for some good luck for me for a change.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Thanks HAW. Wondering how much I can clear out in the way of clothes etc. Sad though it may be taking what I don't need (and won't sell on fleabay) to the clothes/cash place might make me a little bit of dosh.
A friend here wants me to go up and see them at lunchtime to see if any of his colleagues (resourcers) can help.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. If that's what you need to do to get a few extra ££, then do it. Count it as part of your Things to Declutter 2013 challenge
I know one of the clothes places I went to before accepted shoes, belts, curtains, duvet and pillow covers as well, which meant that extra few ££ for meCheck what all they do take.

I think I might just do that HAW.
Applied for more jobs. Am I being unrealistic thinking I might hear something before christmas? The majority say Jan start date (temp jobs). OH is sleeping again, fed up him saying he's sooo tired. So am I. Its unreal. We got in at 6:30 tonight and he's asleep by 8:30. I'm left to do dinner and packed lunches. Yes ok he tidies the kitchen in the morning (as it takes him 10 minutes to get ready in the morning yet me about 50 minutes). But if its was me sleeping all the time he'd be telling me to wake up. I tell him to go up to bed and he gets narky.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. If there's a January start date I imagine they'd want to get formalities out of the way before then. At least there are a few things you can apply for.
I usually check my local Groupon for deals, and came across this today. Just wondered if this is maybe an avenue you could go down for a bit more business? I've no idea on procedures or costs or anything for Groupon, but it'd do no harm to check it out
OH is being a bit unfair of you. Like you say, you're tired too, yet you can't fall asleep at 7pm as nothing would get done about the house. He needs to give you a bit more help. Yes tidying the kitchen is helpful, but I'm sure there's more than 2 rooms in your house!Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Morning All, thanks for the idea HAW I think I'll check it out. I work for one of the big tarot companies but might actually create a social media page to promote it. The boss left a message asking us if we wanted to do it, we don't have to. I've got a profile on their site with all my info and how long I've been doing the tarot (about 20 years now).
Been on the phone to the agencies this morning. Found out one of my colleagues is away for an interview with one of the companies I've put in with. I told the agency that through and they were a bit upset.. I think they thought they had carte blanche with it. Phoned my agency and got one of the bosses, she's put me in for something else where I am now. I asked how long it will take to hear back but she doesn't know. I applied for 25 jobs yesterday. I'm trying to remain positive but its hard.
Now as you all know I make hampers if people ask me. So I'd made one, a girly one and left it packaged downstairs in the livingroom. I'd planned to deliver it yesterday but it was convenient so OH was going to deliver it today. SS turns to his Dad (OH) and says "I thought that was for my sister, how sh*t". Talk about making OH feel bad! Now SD (SS sister) we've not spoken to for over 18 months due to various things she did and said. Anytime we tried (early on) to try to make her see how much damage she caused she didn't see it was her fault. No apology, nothing. She might have gotten older but she's not grown up. I said to OH to ignore it as we don't know what nonsense she's spouting to her brother. Considering he's been on the recieving end of her games he should know better. But I have a funny feeling he won't accept she's trouble till she's either caused more trouble for him or cleaned him out. I just hope it doesn't set OH's mood off again!.
Getting my hair cut and dyed tonight. Yes I could do without the cost but I'm starting to resemble the dulux dog i.e. I can't see through my fringe! and my hair is not quite ready to change colour (I used peroxide for a long time). But I think it will cheer me up a bit. Got the lady that does my hair a bottle of cava for christmas and made her a card.
Can't believe christmas is only a week away! I still need to wrap loads!!!!
Anyway, chin up and off to carry on. Hope everyone's well.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera.
