  • No point thinking along those lines. Everyone does that after interviews. You've done the best you can do and that is all that matters.

I've fingers, toes, legs and arms all crossed for you unixgirl :D

I didn't get the job. Bit upset but not letting it get to me (too much). Yes I cried but I need to pick myself up and carry on. Last day at work wasn't pleasant.

Busy trying to get everything done before christmas day and I'm fast running out of hours. Now both head lights on the car have gone so I need to get that fixed tomorrow. Oh and SS's present is faulty so needs to be exchanged tomorrow and I can't find one of my Mum's presents!

OH is severly doing my head in, I was going to do a pork stir fry and because he didnt want it he said it was off and said we'll get a takeaway! So angry.

I'm still job hunting but had a nice christmas (told OH not to moan).

OH got me a new phone for christmas

Applied for more jobs (but don't expect to hear anything till after new year)

Both headlights failed night before christmas eve! Waiting in a car garage on xmas eve for 2 hours wasn't how I envisaged it.

Had to take SS's phone we bought him back as the battery was loose (swapped on xmas eve. We then found out when we got home he'd broken i.e. smashed in temper, his notebook we bought him 2 years ago.)

Need to clear my old phone and take it into shop to sell. Might only get about £50 for it.

Got loads of toiletries for xmas, so I have enough shower gel, body lotion, perfume, shampoo and conditioner probably to do me the whole of 2013! The only thing I didn't get was night cream but I am using every sachet/sample/freebie up as I finished mine.

SIL and her family loved their pressies and that they were personalised (gift bags with names on them) and I also did retro sweetie hampers.

Had dentist this morning and bumped into my Mum! She had cracked a tooth and managed to get an emergency appointment. Turns out I'd broken a filling and not noticed! £28 to get it fixed so it had to be done but he did a scale and polish and fixed my front teeth which weren't level due to an accident when I was a teenager. I now have perfectly straight teeth!

Got my final pay and they've messed it up and done me out of £146. Spent most of this afternoon trying to sort it out. They've made the mistake and don't want to admit it. Got the MD's name. Do you think a detailed email will make a difference?

Apart from that I am full of the cold. Got soaked night before christmas eve. I'd made a wreath for OH to put on his Dad and niece's grave (OH's Dad died in his 30's and his niece was only 2 when she died). I lifted the wreath out from the parcel shelf and OH placed it on the grave. When we got to SIL's after visiting the grave there was 2 flowers (1 of each colour meant for each of them) on the parcel shelf. Now I don't remember seeing any when I lifted the wreath out or when OH put the umbrella (which wasn't much help) back in the boot. I'd like to think this was OH's Dad and Niece saying thank you for remembering them with a wreath of his favourite flowers. Or am I just being soppy?

Got £120 from SS (dig money) and £100 Mum owed me, £40 from other bits and pieces (clearing) so thats £260 towards end of jan bills. I'm annoyed my last pay has been messed up and thats me short by £146 (before tax). But I'll keep on at them. Any tips for writing to the MD?

  • Crikey what a lot you've got going on!! Haven't been online in ages sorry :o

Glad you had a nice Christmas. Hopefully you get your wages all sorted soon. No harm in going higher if it gets you your wages! Dunno about tips though. Maybe someone else will have a good idea on that one.

And fingers crossed that you get a job soon too. At least you have stuff you can apply for.
