  • Oh dear that doesnt sound good! I imagine it takes a lot for someone in the police to say that too!

Sorry to hear about the work situation, its not nice when you dont know whats going on. I hope you find out soon, then at least you can do something about it when you know, even if its not exactly what you want to hear.

Glad to hear you got the money back on the shovel! :)

Morning All, have car problems this morning. I really don't need more after what that car has cost me. I can't afford a new one at the moment. Posted on the motoring board and see if anyone can help me.

I am so tired this morning. I can't stop yawning.

    Hello All :hello:

Car sorted, garage wouldn't take any money :j. I do need to do a flush through of the system but they talk me through it and I can do this myself.

Money? Its pay day :o. So I have put away 4 days wages to pay bills and left me with a day's wages to play with. I had money left over from last week so have put some of this to Beast (to cover what I've used) and the rest into savings. You might be wondering why I'm not just throwing this all at debt? Well, in light of the uneasy job situation and the car playing up I'd rather have some money about in case I need it. OH is due to pay me back the last payment of the money he borrow off me. This money was from my pension which they wouldn't continue after I was made redundant. So I've put it into an ISA, it means I can get access if I need to but still earn interest on it. The interest at the moment I am putting towards debt.

The shops have a lot of good bargains at the moment for anyone looking for good perfume/aftershave giftsets try Home Bargains and B&M both have really good sets for under £10 and a few for under £5. I've been hinting for one of them (its really nice perfume although mega cheap) to SS as he usually goes overboard but its stuff neither of us will ever use. But he's not taken the hint yet.

OH was supposed to be working tomorrow (and that would have given me a chance to wrap his presents) but has cancelled it. He's off part of next week (his op) and part of the following week so initially thought some overtime would at least make up his money. I know he's tired...... we both are but I know what he's like and come tomorrow when its too late he'll kick himself and then moan his wages are down!

Anyway, hoping to try and finish Christmas shopping off this weekend (it would be nice!) and try and get more of the scarves knitted. Have £8 in £2 to go into my piggy bank which I raided for the craft fair. And also saved enough to get a bottle of vino this weekend (bad, I know!).

Oh I will believe me as I've just found out the trains are still off which means a coach home in rush hour traffic! I faced that coming in.

Sorry to go AWOL over the weekend. I got home eventually on friday. Saturday, I went to a town west of where we stay, going to the nearest one means parking charges and the shops I wanted to go to are in 3 different shopping centres. So I got most of what I had left to get which was good, but one of the shops I needed to go to had closed down (chocolate shop which had been based in a card shop there) so I've not got too much left to get. My office resembles Santa's grotto! Not I just have to wrap them all :(.

OH has paid back all the money he owes me but I missed the bank so will have to set the money aside (make sure I don't spend it!) and pay it in later this week.

I am so tired. OH just keeps sleeping all the time and I'm left to make the lunches etc (we're working same hours) so I left him to make his own dinner, sort out dishwasher etc :o. I think he's slowly getting the message!!! The weekends just seem to fly by but we're not home until 7:30-8:00 and out the door for 7:00. As soon as we're home its something quick to eat, sort stuff for the morning and bed.

The dehumidifier seems to be working really well and its be £30 well spent.

Ok, not the best start to the morning. Transferred £40 to a friend to get something for me (pre-arranged), texted her to say the money had gone through and she texts me back to say she's gone into the red againso my money's been swallowed by the bank! She says she'll try and get me my money back but it means I'll have to replace the money for the item which I need to get this week (and if I get it will cost me more as she gets a discount), she texted back to say I should have texted her this morning before I transferred the money. I only spoke to her yesterday and I did what we agreed. _pale_ so as you can imagine its kind of upset me.

  • Bummer :( Can see why you did what you did - you were just following what was agreed. How were you to know that after less than 24 hours later you would need to check again?!

I know, I don't even know when I'll get my money back! Work is doing my head in. I have a colleague that insists everything is done via email even when there's no need. She's really doing my head in! Tried saying to her but being very deliberately obtuse.
