    How are you LT?

Going to the craft fair this weekend hopefully, I know its a lot of money just for entry but I do love it and its only on twice a year (now and April), this is the big Christmas one.

I need to find my curtain rings and put up the other curtains in the bedroom. I have found the curtain hooks although I put them down and can't remember where!

Update is that they have decided there's no updates till Monday, apart from the ones who got told this morning (which none of us knew about at all so people are keeping it quiet) :(. Its seriously awful. One of my colleagues (no family) wants to go away at christmas and can't book until she knows whats going on.

On the headache front its still there although not quite as bad, it seems to be sinus related as I'm blowing my nose constantly at the moment but time off = no money, the joys of being a temporary worker.

Hello All, well it seems OH is back to day shift next week. as long as they don't change it half way through the week!

2 loads of washing done already, got another load to do and my blue suit to rinse and spin (put it through a quick wash last week but its got powder marks on it).

I've also managed to get the following done:-

    - repotted a house plant (in dire need of repotting, I hope it'll be ok)
    - cleaned kitchen
    - cleaned downstairs toilet
    - dusted (even the skirting boards!)
    - paid cc

and just sitting down with a cuppa and some spready cheese on toast (as my lunch). Will update totals shortly. Still got my paperwork to do for this week so I get paid next week.

Totals done and Goliath (just made the november payment) is now under 10k! :j

Well SS has gone out and he's in the huff, I made him pay me the money he owes me, £2.35. Bad I know but he just hung onto my change from the post office (sorry not on) and then when asked for it said he'd spend it by mistake and didn't have it to repay me. So I made a point of it as I'm not having him thinking he can do that to me or anyone else. I was waiting for him to say he'd kept the change for petrol money, as he used the post office in the nearest town rather than the one at the bottom of the road. That was his choice as he was heading to town anyway (to sell his DVDs). So when I asked him whether he'd be back tonight he said he didn't know. In other words, he's in the huff. Is it bad to say I don't care? He's been listening to his sister too much (she persuaded him to take her out yesterday and didn't say till he got back), she does that sort of thing i.e. throws a tantrum if she doesn't get something or her own way, steals etc and its why she doesn't live with us now. I have a sneaking suspicion that she's talked him into spending a lot of money yesterday knowing he's just been paid. We've tried warning him and he's been on the receiving end of her viciousness before (she told the police he'd battered in her front door....... nice isn't she?.... except he had a cast iron alibi at the time she claimed it happened...... his then employers a shop had had someone try to steal from the till and he was talking to the police!), but he won't listen. So we just leave him to it. OH mentions her now and again but after everything she put us through he's definitely more relaxed and healthier without her about than with (her used to get heart palpitations, hair falling out etc).

Back to something a bit more pleasant. Just waiting on the last load of washing and I still need to do my paperwork.

Morning All, its Monday again. Really tired, on the train at the moment going to work. Craft fair was good and I even came back with money left over from the budget I'd set. Had row with OH, and verbally kicked his butt. Left him in the house yesterday. He has apologised for what happened but he knows i'm still upset. He brought me tea and toast this morning so I think he's grovelling. He's on day shift this week which means a really long day for both of us as he doesn't finish till 7.

hi, i'm fine thanks and you?

Hope work is ok and you don't get any bad news today. Glad you enjoyed your craft fair, i went to a craft show in london a few weekends ago and also returned with some of my budget which very unusual for me.
i don't think you're awful with your attitude to your SS being in a huff, sounds about the right way to treat him really. he is suposed to be a grown up!
well done for getting Goliath under £10k that's fab!

Thanks LT, are you still keeping up with your diary? What did you get at the craft fair? Mine was lots of little bits I'd been after and charms to make keyrings and bag charms with.

All change here but doesn't feel anymore stable. Lots of questions getting asked and people left that I didn't even know had been given their notice! :(.

Morning All, I posted an update whilst on the train this morning but it seems to have disappeared.

Ok, OH is still in the doghouse and he knows it.

Money stuff? Well its a bit tight this week, as bills are due out at the end of the week but I'll get there (the joys of not being paid if I take a day off). When I get paid on friday I'll split the money, 2 days for November which will get put away for bills. The money for the last 3 days of October I'll split, half going to pay council tax, 1/4 to pay back what I've used on Beast this week (train tickets, fuel etc) and the other 1/4 as spending money and to go towards christmas presents bought this week. I am trying to buy something every week so it doesn't seem as bad!

My parcel arrived from Half Cost and the christmas door decorations I got for £1 are gorgeous! I had seen them in the Kleeneze catalogue for £10 and there's no way I would have paid that. I also got christmas envelope seal stickers (great for jazzing up cheap plain gift bags) 100 stickers of 4 different designs for £1, and various other bits and pieces.

OH is on dayshift this week and although its nice seeing him at night and in the morning, the longer day is very tiring. I get into work at about 8:15 and finish at 4:30ish, I get the train and pick up the car for about 5:30 but OH doesn't finish till 7. By the time I go to supermarket (one next to station, I go there daily to pick up YS bargains for lunches and dinner) there's no point in going home before I pick up OH. So last night I went for an extended wander round Mr T's hoping I would get some christmas presents. Not to be, the branch i went to although a large store was poorly stocked and seems to be full of cheap nasty toys, crisps and frozen food. I may try the new Mr A's in the next town over tonight before picking OH up. Not been to this store before but its on the way to pick OH up.

hi, no don't seem to be keeping my diary up todate, not much to say on there really as things aren't changing a huge deal just pottering away at the usual debts.
i just picked up a book of knitting patterns and two lots of wool at the craft fair, i'm not into x-stitch too much these days and that's what most of the stuff was, along with high end products.
I've got a shopping trip on thursday this week to Lakeside, so i'm hoping to really start and then finish my xmas shopping whilst i'm there, but depends how i get on. I guess i should really start thinking about what i'm buying and for whom. We're certainly going to cut down this year again what with the new house and all the money which we've spent on it this year.

Could you make some gifts LT ? I keep a spreadsheet of who I have to buy for, what I would like to get, what I spend, and what I spend in wrapping etc. Also means I can look back at what I've bought people before. Do you have a home bargains or B&M nearby? They do some fab stuff cheap.

    Morning All, :hello:how is everyone?

Checked my bank balance, bills are due out tomorrow (well most of them, mortgage, phone, life insurance, building insurance, tv license). Just keeping a close eye on what I'm spending this week. Will be glad to get paid on friday.

Well I am trying to buy something every week for Christmas rather than buying in one big lot. I decided to try the new Mr A in the next village over from where we stay (also on way to pick up OH from his work). Now this was supposed to be a superstore. It was awful! The sandwich bit was only one small fridge. The clothing bit was tiny (I was hoping to pick up a fleece for my Dad for Christmas) and I was generally unimpressed by the rest of the store. I think next time OH and I are in the town nearest us we'll go to the outdoors-y type shops and see what they have. I have noticed though that the supermarkets seem to be getting more expensive for their fleeces etc. Last year they were no more than £15 and this year they are about £20. I know everything has gone up in price but a basic fleece at that price is awful. I am also having trouble sourcing boxes of Thortons toffee in the supermarkets (thorntons shop means a trip to the town), they have the chocolates but no toffee. I think I'll try Mr M after work. Quite lucky as the village where I get the train has Mr T, Mr M, Ald*'s and Lidls as well as B&M and Home Bargains. So I'll do a bit more Christmas shopping before i go to get OH.

Well my key chains arrived :j so I can now get to work making bag charms/keyrings for a few people for christmas. I also need to hurry up and finish my scarf so I can knit the one for my friend for christmas. Not enough hours in the day! :rotfl:
