Well i'm on my way home. So far I've heard of others being given notice and some sending out goodbye emails. I've been told there's more to come but at least its another days wages. I'm really tired but I think that's stress.

Phew! so far so good then!

I spent the day waiting for a tap on the shoulder Dragon, it really wasn't nice. :(

Came home and OH cooked me tea, scotch pie and beans and made me a cup of tea. I think he knows I'm stressed.

I am wondering if they are keeping the temp staff on as they are cheaper (don't need to pay NI etc)

Funny you should say that Dragon as the ones that have gone so far are the more expensive temporary workers. I'm on the cheaper end so I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

On a happier note, my winter boots have arrived and OH has offered to pay for them as part of my christmas. Definitely a good buy (Hush Puppies) and they are fleece lined.

  • Oh, how horrid to have to just sit and wait! You'd think there'd be something under the Geneva convention, wouldn't you?!

*big hugs* in the meantime, Uni.

Its not nice Nora. On train on way to work. I'm looking at every extra day as a bonus. Thankfully as I made it through yesterday it means I have enough for bills at the end of the month. I think I may resurrect my tarot job though as the extra I got before from that was a great help. I just haven't had time to do it since starting this as its a much longer commute.

Out of curiosity I decided to see how long the bus would take going into the city. It leaves from same town as I get the train, which is 5 miles from the town I stay in. It takes two and a half hours! At the moment the drive to station and journey takes about an hour and ten minutes. Not really a feasible alternative is it?

Did some clicks and onepoll last night. Still no closer to the £40 payout.

Oh and I have an interview today, keep your fingers crossed! Using my lunch hour, means I need to get a taxi there and back but hopefully it'll be worth it.

Thanks HAW. I am actually quite nervous.

OH was supposed to be posting the shirt for me, but has asked SS to do it. I hope he does it and remembers it needs to be recorded delivery! He's not in my good books at the moment for a few reasons and he knows it. So looking forward to the day he moves out (sorry I know that sounds bad), but I know for fact that with his car tax and MOT due next month and his car loan balloon payment in January he's not saved a penny. He could surprise me but I very much doubt it. OH has his suspicions that some of our DVDs that migrated to his room have been sold. I asked him again to return OH's box set about the solar system and he says he's still watching it. Wrong I know but I may go have a little look at the DVDs in his room tonight after he goes to work. As our DVD shelves downstairs never seem to get full!

There's no sneaking about it. If he is staying in your house, then you are entitled to look in there. I am sure half the dishes of the house are in his room. So that is as good an excuse as any. And if the dvd's are not there, and he admits to selling them (ie he is a thief and has stolen from you). Then that would be more than it for me. He would be gone from the house.
