No dear, I totally understood it was tongue in cheek. You just got there before anyone else did. In honesty I'd rather have my health and they could shove their money where the sun don't shine

I have to say Dunroamin, I have never found any of your posts offensive. But sometimes you do sometimes (just sometimes) come across as being uncompassionate towards people in those situations. My post about bashing was never intended for you. I'm quite sure the person knows who it was about
But then you probably think of me as naive sticking up for all and sundry
Different strokes for different folks eh.
Elle, I hope you manage to get your neck done soon hon. That's exactly where I have the trapped nerve and it's excruciating at times. Counselling is probably something that you will be able to do when you've had the op and the little one is less of a handful. It's hard to bring up a child when you have a disability, especially with the drugs
Half my body is damaged on the right side, have had lower back problems too,
I can't write as thumb & forefinger are numb, have weak arm, shoulder feels like it's broken, it's horrible, is it the same for you ??
What treatment are you having ???
It's the headaches and the shoulder that I find are the hardest to take..I always take the moral high ground, it's lovely up here...0 -

People who have never worked in their lives can receive a state pension, as long as any benefits they may have claimed include an NI contribution.
I don't consider it to be a generic entitlement either, it can be reduced or withdrawn at any time, the same as any other benefit, there is no guaranteed entitlement.0 -

You need to start from the point of what your disabilities will allow you to do, not what you would like to do in an ideal world. Improving your general education would probably be the best place to start in your current situation.
I don't understand what you mean by improving my general education, I have GCSE's and I was halfway through my A's..I always take the moral high ground, it's lovely up here...0 -

I know about the OU, my Sister graduated last Friday,
I am not able to study at this time..I always take the moral high ground, it's lovely up here...0 -
Isn't that an exemple of a childlish reply too? Why is it that if I question the possibility that not everyone claiming DLA genuinely wish they could be able to work instead and not claim, I am jealous? I don't have any feeling of jealousy and have no reason to do so at all if that jealousy is relating to how much disabled people can receive as benefit income.Do you know some of you actually sound jealous of people who receive DLA...why is that?If a disabled woman who is earning and is also entitled and claiming DLA - then why should she not have children? If a disabled woman who does not work - because she cannot, due to disability, and is claiming DLA and is able to budget and wishes to have child why should she not?
If she is entitled to DLA before she falls pregnant and have a child to look after, I would question why she isn't capable of being a nanny or childminder.
You seem to be assuming that every woman in this country has a right to be a mother (well they don't, many end up childless through no choice of theirs), or is able to enjoy a holiday (as said before, many working people are not able to afford this, even if it would also do them good), yet you seem to thing that disabled people should have that right just because they ARE disabled. Why, I also wonder, do some of you equate disabled = DLA = limited financial resources? DLA is paid to people in full time employment and they could be earning 20 -30 - 40 -50k or their partner could.
That brings the question of why DLA is non mean testing, especially now that child benefit is becoming so.
Could it be because disability is not the only condition that can affect someone and mean that getting a well paid job is going to be much more difficult than for others? If you are able bodied and healthy then I see no reason why you cannot earn enough money to do all the above things,
Only to those who are bitter indeedlife sucks don't it?

As per my posts were cherry picked and blown out of proportion..
I would have to sit or stand long enough to take the call in the first place..
That's fair enough, but don't reply to someone who says she thinks you could do a job using the phone by stating that no you couldn't because you couldn't lift your arm.0 -

Elle, if I'd lost a child, I know for a fact that the first thing I would want to do is to fall pregnant again and would care less if I could afford it or not. Rightly or wrongly, although I would then do everthing to be able to support that child. Of course we will never know whether that baby was a genuine accident, whether you really did consider a termination, but from my perspective, if you'd said you'd planned that baby because your were desperate to be a mum again at all odds, I wouldn't have judged that decision.0 -

That was only one of the comments I made, as I said it was cherry picked, I gave more than one answer regarding my difficulties.I always take the moral high ground, it's lovely up here...0 -

Yes hon. I can handle the headaches. I just go to bed!
But I don't have little nippers running around. My left arm feels dead from shoulder to finger tips. Feels like it weighs a ton!!! The only time I get much feeling in it is when the trapped ulna nerve plays up. Then it's shooting pains from elbow to pinky (like an electric shock). The pain in my shoulder is there all the time. I subluxed my right shoulder last week, reaching out of bed to turn the volume down on the laptop that was on the bedside cabinet. Boom, popped out of joint so now I have 2 sore shoulders.
Although I'm not as badly affected as my dd with my HMS/EDS. My knees are slipping and locking constantly, which can be rather painful, especially coming downstairs. I'll message you with medications. But Icy Hot is brilliant, I get it whenever any friends or family go to the states. You can get it from Amazon but it works out quite expensive.
I've also just bought one of these which are excellent!!
