The company is trying to do a good job and provide a service.
So far my first 2 hampers have arrived on time - excellent condition and value for what I paid (not what they cost).
I have a schedule for the remaining ones. and have no doubt they will arrive.
The doubters on this forum caused this company to be invesuatged by paypal over the last offer and they were fully exonerated.
They even mention that MSE is promoting the latest offer on their website!!!
The approach taken by a few who doubt could affect those who have taken offers up and potentially affect the company as a whole.
To those who doubt the offer back off and if you don't like don't do it.
to those who want to I have no reason to doubt the company and expect to get my stuff on time.
Same here my hampers were amazing & I also received a schedule. They have excellent customer services. When I rang them Neil was polite & informative. I even sent them a query via twitter & they responded immediately. Didn't we go through all this with the last offer that the company offered.
I spoke to the owner at the time and decided that he sounded genuine and ordered. The second delivery came last week. Not as big as the first ones but still good.
They have now said that the last 3 hampers from the first offer will all be delivered end of November so they can be used for Christmas, probably so it clears the warehouse before Christmas rush as well.
I know there are a lot of con men out there but they have delivered with the first offer so I can not see any reason for them not to on this one. But as someone else said if you are not sure do not buy but also do not put unfounded allegations about a business on here either.
Sorry, rant over.
I would post some pictures of the other offer but I have not got a clue how to do it.If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -
I phoned this company today to ask about postage to Northern Ireland and spoke to the owner.
He came across as genuine to me. I mentioned this thread and he is currently in the process of trying to register with MSE as a company representative so that he can answer any questions. So lets wait and see...

The posts of relatively new or less active members have been overridden by the more active - I felt is was time to stand up for those of us who post less.
I think there has been plenty of opportunity for everyone to put their points, all of which seem valid to me.
I haven't read about anyone bashing the company or calling it a rip-off or anyone putting unfounded allegations on either ?????0 -
I bought the last amazing deal and have been super impressed with this company. If you don't think it's worth it, don't buy it and move on. Why cast aspersions and make others feel bad when the reality is they are happy with the deal and it will be honoured?0

I am not sure why you think the "good" posts have been overridden.

I would put some of cupcake comments in that group.
Edit - Well said loobylou232If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -

There is nothing wrong with raising concerns or pointing out that people will not be protected by either credit card or paypal protection in the unlikely event that something were to go wrong. I think that's entirely valid and very MSE.
The one person who has said something incorrect ("well established") was actually speaking up for the company. If you don't think it's worth it, don't buy it and move on. Why cast aspersions
There is no place for censorship on these boards, people should be able to discuss both sides without trying to bann the views they don't agree with.
Surely none of you sensible people would want censorship of anyone who didn't agree with you?
You'd never learn anything new.0 -

I have read those comments and I can't see any unforunded allegations or anything of that nature.

I don't think I've "casted aspersions" but I think I have every right to make valid observations on paypal/credit card coverage (in fact answering questions) without people trying to bann me e.g.saying back off.

I was not talking about you when I commented it was more cupcake, every comment was negative with no reason except she/he thought it didn't feel right.
As I said we went through all this with the last offer and so far we have had everything delivered on time. If you do not want to buy then fair enough but I can not see why you would go out of your way to put negative comments on when there is nothing behind them except a gut feeling. If they had done something wrond in the past or you are answering a question eg about the credit card bit then fair enough but to just put comments on with nothing to back them up except the gut I think is wrong. We could all do that about every offer online, you never know something is going to get delivered before the company goes bust etc.If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -
Newbie here, have been a long time lurker on many grabbits, but felt i needed to register at long last to help aleviate any concerns over this company and the deals they offer. I decided to take the plunge and order the last deal (and am very pleased i did!). I too was concerned when i placed my order, and the comments that followed put me into panic mode. However i phoned the company and spoke to the owner Neil the Mon after the weekend, and was so glad i did. He told me he has been in business 8 years, but had only just bought the shop, hence why the new register to company house, he also informed me he has been invited to be part of the television show Grand designs (hope i rememered the tv show right) also he is attending the Ideal home show in Novemeber. I received my 1st two picnic hampers in August as promised (they were fab!!) decided to just go with the flow and not chase up my next two, and am very pleased to report i received them the 1st week of October as promised (2nd ones arrived in lovely 12" wicker hampers full of thorntons goodies) included was a lovely letter to all his customers explaining that the rest of the deal would all be sent in Nov for us all to give as Christmas presents. Please do not panic he sounds a great guy, and i feel confident that all is good. Please excuse a very long 1st post, but i understand everyones concerns and wanted to help put minds at rest.0
