  • I have subscribed to thsi dela and teh rpevious one for 14 hampers for £79.

The company is trying to do a good job and provide a service.

So far my first 2 hampers have arrived on time - excellent condition and value for what I paid (not what they cost).
I have a schedule for the remaining ones. and have no doubt they will arrive.

The doubters on this forum caused this company to be invesuatged by paypal over the last offer and they were fully exonerated.
They even mention that MSE is promoting the latest offer on their website!!!

The approach taken by a few who doubt could affect those who have taken offers up and potentially affect the company as a whole.

To those who doubt the offer back off and if you don't like don't do it.
to those who want to I have no reason to doubt the company and expect to get my stuff on time.

It's up to everyone to make their own decision.
There is nothing wrong with pointing out to people that they won't have credit card cover if they use paypal. Actually another poster ASKED for that information. That's true for any retailer and good MSE knowledge to share.
Even if a company is doing well, it's possible for all sorts of things to go wrong in future e.g. flood, fire. those who prefer cover are entitled to ask questions and get advice, that's what these forums are about. It's absolutely relevant knowledge to share.
To those who doubt the offer back off
    Absolutely not.
Who do you think you are !!!

I am fully entitled to pass on MSE advice regarding credit cards and also to point out the truth about how "well established" this company is not.
We are fully entitled to correct misleading information. I have acknowledged that it was unintentional so it's not about being nasty it's about the truth.
Make a complaint if you so wish, but we are fully entitled to share relevant information on these boards - that is in fact the whole point.
You can't just unilaterrally ban people if you don't like their opinions.
and if you don't like don't do it
We don't need your permission not to partake.
However you cannot stop people contributing their relevant thoughts.
My contributions are genuine, true and in line with MSE ethos.
The credit card/payal advice is true for ANY retailer and is well worth any MSEer knwoing.

Stop telling others what to do !!
You are not entitled to ban others from giving relevant advice.

Such a shame you feel you have to ban others opinions, but I will NOT back off, just because you say so. Who do you think you are !!
  • My apologies if my reply was sharp but-

As a regular onlooker but ocassional poster I have been disappointed by the way that some posts aimed to save members money are pulled apart by a small number of very frequent posters.

As stated the company made an offer some time ago which was posted and then doubted (this thread is on record), they were investigated and found to be a sound company.

They have made a further offer which has been doubted without checking on previous threads relating to the same issue.

The posts of relatively new or less active members have been overridden by the more active - I felt is was time to stand up for those of us who post less.

My apologies if you have been offended but as you say we are entitled to an opinion and sureky only a mod has the option to ban someone posting

Before anyone goes about bashing the company, take a look at their Twitter account: https://www.twitter.com/TheNHCompany They have over 10,000 tweets and over 6,000 followers. The conversation on Twitter that has been pointed out only tells us that they wanted to get the deal on MSE. And plenty of people have obviously been interested in the deal, myself included.

Someone upthread said they have ordered and been happy with their order. They would hardly have a massive Twitter following if they were ripping everyone off. You will also see that their tweets go back a long time.

As far as I'm aware, if you pay by Paypal you are very much protected. I have been ripped off by people before and got my money back through Paypal.

I agree that if you aren't interested in the offer then don't use it. Simple.

This is a new company run by a young guy trying to get established, which I'm sure is something we can all applaud in these difficult times. His modus operandii seems to be to get money up front for deals that will be provided later - which is a reasonable business approach to gather some equity to start and expand a new business. The products offered look good quality, and reasonably priced - so if you end up getting everything that's promised, then it's a good deal.
The important thing is that everyone who takes this up understands the risk they are taking.

I ordered On Saturday and despite what has been said today i don't feel concerned.
I have read the other threads from when this company had previous offers and from what i can see hampers have been delivered although some were a bit late.
I agree with Enchantica that if they were ripping everyone off then they wouldn't have over 6000 people following them on twitter.
  • I'm sorry if my indecision has enraged anyone.

I just find it most odd that a supposedly secure company needs to request Twitter followers and/ or 'the wife' to advertise a deal on MSE.

Not to mention that such a deal is set up requiring £59.99 upfront via PayPal, with delivery well outside the 45 day resolution limit, hence leaving the customer at risk.

Whether I am a long time user/poster of MSE is of course irrelevant, and I have the right to raise questions and concerns same as anyone.

I now know that if you go for this deal, you are paying for something a long way in advance, and you will have NO protection from PayPal should things not turn out as you expect.

Farepak if you recall, was an established company taking money up front like this and look what happened there. Just be very careful of taking the risk if you can't afford to lose out.

I can't afford to lose £59.99 so won't partake. Good luck to those that do.

Companies aren't allowed to advertise themselves on websites such as MSE which is why they got someone else to do it. If they aren't quite so well known as the big companies then it makes it more unlikely that anyone will stumble across the deal and post it on MSE.

It makes sense for the goods not to be sent out until December as the food may have a short use by date if it's relatively fresh.
  • Oh no I hope this isn't a scam, I can't afford to loose £60!! I hoped that because others had said on here they had already received products from this company they would be genuine. Am worried now :(
