but you can still pay with a credit card via paypal, as I did. dont know if this gives me any more protection?
No, you lose any credit card protection if you pay through paypal.
The CC company only have an agreement with paypal and not with the hamper company.
Lots of people like the hamper idea, but also agree they aren't overwhelmingly good value, so if you are concerned about losing your money (and although unlikely it's certainly possible) why not make your own?
We always recycle gift boxes and bags in our family.
Any we received are kept to give away for birthdays/Xmas.0 -

I'm tempted as things are tight and it covers 6 presents nicely, but can't afford to risk this much money.
So potentially a £59.99 outlay now, but no delivery til the 'first week' of December. I think I'd be happier to have payment taken upon despatch tbh, like you do with other hamper deals from m&s etc. Might there be cash flow issues here potentially?
Maybe I'm still too aware of the Farepak scandal of 2006, which devastated so many
Just looked up the company at Companies House - only registered in July 2012. See http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/39abc9a922a4ab97bdbe4a6a7f8e2314/compdetails0 -
this is a well established company. times are hard for consumers and retailers, i think that the company are selling lots with a lower profit margin, rather than sell few with a higher profit margin.
good luck to them. it helps them and us.
See my comment above - The Norfolk Hamper Company Ltd appears to have been registered only in July 2012.0 -
this is a well established company
Which begs the question why would you say this if it wasn't true?
Are you connected to them? or was this a mistake?
If it was a genuine mistake I'm sure it's not hassle to fess up.0 -

Something feels not quite right about this 'deal' and this company.:(0 -
fess up!!! fess up to what
Sorry if it wasn't clear, but people will be wondering why you said this when it doesn't appear to be true.
I am not judging as there might be an innocent explanation but it is a justifiable question to ask in my opinion as the information you provided appears to be incorrect.you may not think that is established
Here's a definition for you of what it means
http://dictionary.reverso.net/english-cobuild/well-establishedif you dont like the deal, dont buy it, simples.
I understand this wasn't intentional but your use of the phrase "well established" which has a very clear meaning, could have misled people.
I fully accept that was not intentional on your part.0 -
apologies if my post appears misleading. i have deleted the comments.
i would hate any person on here to lose money, at the end of the day we are all here to save money.0
