  • 22 YEARS of money, without doing anything for it. Must have been like winning the flamin' lottery!

But maybe 22 years of pain, inablilty to hold their own child (as happened to me) of seeing other people enjoying summer holidays, of being called a scrounger, yes stillable to hold our heads up?

It is sad that filling in a form to provide information to allow for a decision to be made has become a procedural exercise for the claimant who as such is providing their own assessment. It only leaves ATOS with the opportunity to challenge the assessment, by which they are then being accused of assuming the claimant is lying.

Well of course they "provide their own assessment". Everybody who fills in any form is giving their side of the story. What do you think should happen? Should the DWP, insurance companies, mortgage providers, and the HMRC (etc.) abolish forms and send a PI to every claimant?

They use the forms because it's cheaper to do it that way. The form does also provide a record for the claimant, and that's important too. But cheapness is the real issue.

But simply because they get rejected doesnt mean they are still not entitled.
    THATS THE PROBLEM

The only proof that someone is entitled is the fact that they're awarded it - everything else is supposition.

What a warped idea ! Thats like saying everyone in prison is guilty simply because a jury says so.

WRT Benefits, the proof is their condition, simply because the fools that interpret a questionnaire the way they want to, and says they arent doesnt prove anything. Thats simply an opinion, which is what ATOS offers, opinions NOT Proof.

The proof is their condition, that the system is stacked against them isnt relevant, the proof is still there

I said EVERYONE, 9 out of 10 isnt everyone, so your statement simply confirms what I stated.
    Thank you

It took over 80 posts but we eventually got to the standard rebuttal of those claiming disability benefits when the award of benefits is questioned.

Invalidation, some on here won't believe the system is warped for ESA, I've been trying to convince some of them for around a year now. It's a year since my dd had her medical and was found fit for work. And it's still not settled.

I've had good experiences with ATOS and they were professional and showed compassion each time I've been there, both through my work for my medical retirement and for claiming IIDB and ESA. I'm in WRAG, which is totally the right place for me, never have disputed that.

My dd who's condition is so much worse than mine has been found fit for work, and since then her condition has gone down hill rapidly and is now facing life in a wheelchair, she's a part time scooter user at the moment. Tribunal was adjourned because they wanted more medical evidence.... Still waiting for notes to be sent from the other end of the country.

When ATOS get it right, I'm more than happy to say so. But when they get it wrong... oh it's ever so wrong. If they only told the truth and didn't tell lies about the applicant then I'm sure we'd see more people passing the WCA.

Fair and honest WCA for everyone!!!

!!!!!! :( I certainly wouldn't like to walk a mile in my dd's shoes, her feet are smaller than mine :p However, if I thought it would help I'd give her my legs.
