Brilliant news!

I never notice when people 'like me', it's not on my range of awareness/care (so long as nobody's actually being mean) - and I'd also have nothing to compare it with. But, apparently, I'm well liked.
I asked about Xmas, apparently they have a total shut down, which has to come out of annual leave. Nice; always wanted to work somewhere that did that .... on the flip side, I wish I'd been told. So now I know I've got to work out what I'll be doing that week.0 -
I like that
I have just had an emergency.stop at boots. Managed to forget to pick up the carrier bag with my contact lens solution, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel etc in it. Oops. Then got on next train to have a moment of panic when I thought I had left the dress ('the' dress) somewhere, only to realise it was over my arm. Phew. I can tell I haven't got out much recently
I am headed vaguely in Sue's direction (same county I think, but not quite so far across), but by the sounds of it pretty much in the.middle of nowhere!
My direction is actually just over the border from Essex....the border is literally in the middle of the river just 2 miles from my parents house. However, by road, it takes a hell of a lot longer......, by the ferry (not even sure if we still have the ferry to be honest!), we can be in Harwich in a mere few minutes, by road, it takes an hour. Only 25-30 minutes from Colchester though by road....
They talk funny the further north you go into Suffolk and have funny ways, we are more like Essex people with a twang of Suffolk :rotfl:We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Ggggrrrrrree.
We should have been cracking a long in the attic and still not in there. The joists in our attic are not convenient distances (the insulation is 400mm or 200mm widths and our joists are a foot apart, lol.)
There is more rubbish up there than we remembered and now one of the cats is having a ball up there.0 -

I'd imagine it'd be possible to cut the insulation, while still in the bag, at the appropriate point so the 400mm has 300mm and 100mm.
So, buying one of each size you'd have one run of 300mm (from the cut down 400mm roll) and then a run of (200mm + 100mm) using the narrower roll and the cut off from the 400mm.
I'm imagining laying the roll in the bag outside... and somehow anchoring it down so it doesn't move - carefully marking the spot with a fat marker pen and then using some fast power tool to cut a line right through it.
Or just buy 200mm, cut some in half - and do it that way.0 -
MSE style win today.
DW had a screw in her tyre. I get drafted in when she notices it's flat and she has driven back on it.
Typical response from the local tyre centre :- The wall is damaged and a new one is a couple of hundred quid. No, it can't be repaired.
So we don't accept this advice; pop to a different tyre place; they repair for £15 - no quibbles, no pushing a new tyre at us.
It makes you wonder how much sales spiel goes on.0 -

This is pretty normal and would be why you have those sizes (making 2 rolls of 300mm)
Think the best tool for the job was a normal (long) wood saw.0 -
