Ah, I'd thought possibly "Prior Permission Required "No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

The only time I've ever had a squeaky one it was washed at the wrong temperature. Does the underwiring still fit properly? If they've twisted you may be able to flatten them back again.
I like hand washing them, it doesn't bother me. Mainly because I have had a bill for someone's wire in a machine (uni flat, previous tenant....) and never want such an easily preventable bill.
I keep meaning to buy a bag to wash delicates in...I just never get round to it. This is a t shirt bra so doesn't look that delicate.
The wires feel flat and well fitting....but sore I would recognise were they not:o.
I tend to wash most things at forty or below ( a few exceptions though,.....I wash some things at sixty and wash my cleaning clothes on a hot wash which I also 'feel' cleans the machine a bit.). It's possible I got it wrong though and washed it too hot/too long or something.
Fwiw, I wear a few cashmere jumpers....mainly to do horses in  and I wash them I the machine, which I know horrifies many people.0 -
Forgot to mention. Anyone considering putting together a power cut box along the lines of silvercar's recommendations, Tesco has a very basic wall mounted wired phone for £1.50 in its value range. Picked one up last weekend for my box.
ETA: it's not got a price on their website but it's this one:

It's alarmingly loud.....like magnified squeaking of eating haloumi or overcooked turkey....or creaking floorboards..
Creak when you walk, bounce or what?
I thought there was only one wire (in each cup) so don't understand what it is creaking against.
I only ever machine wash and have never encountered this problem. Maybe the wires have been pushed out of shape?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. ...and then I discovered that my plugged in telephone answerphone works as a telephone even in a power cut! Not only did I not know lounges even existed before I came here .... but, even now, I know I will never go in one.
It's a posh thing isn't it ...0 -

Yes, on so many levels.
Also very money saving as you can eat and drink for free in the lounges, and enjoy free wifi.
Their are rankings of lounges. To put that thread in context, in certain first class lounges, the "therapists" stroll around offering (free) head, neck or arm massages. You can also book certain spa treatments.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
