I suspect competitive driving in Paris is less stressful than random tailbacks on the M25.
...
Of course, you could do what I saw one guy do on the A10 over here, he jumped out of his car and tried to yank the doors open of a car in front of him. Then he started to beat the bonnet with his fists. I mean, really, what is the point? Let it go.0 -
Herts alert.
There is a water tower in Shenley, that has been converted into "designer apartments" about 4 (?) years ago. 360 degree views, blah, blah. I think they are still on the market.

After seeing Grand Designs I'm not sure I'd want to share my water tower with other flats0 -
The water tower is lovely....to visit.
Even the ensuite was at a different level from the bed...oh no, bleary eyed early mornings are when I want a piddle before tackling stairs.
I did admire their furnishing restraint. I liked that black and white room, comfortable, serene and uncluttered. A little sterile for me, well matched, but very lovely. The gold mirrors perfect, and the blue lamps...just enough to add warmth and some mre grown up style.
Loved the his and his shower too.0 -

I think they just reinforce the tired old gay cliche's like having good taste in interior decor and design.
Seems like it's true0 -

I don't know where gdb is but I've been gallivanting
Just back from Dara O'Briain and Joan Armatrading yesterday was fabulous. Absolute shed-tonnes of work to do as well so reading but not joining in0 -

The views and furnishings were good but it's not the house for me.
I liked the one the other week when the guys cut and made up the box sections on site from plywood.0 -

We do lists in this family...the boys know their budget from their grandparents and mark the Argos book, or add stuff to the wish list on Amazon for me to choose from.
I am incredibly hard (or easy) to buy for, I am not one for materialistic things so usually ask for some books...which mum and dad find difficult to do as it requires them to look online and find the second hand cheap ones I like. They refuse to give me money as they know I will spend it on bills or the boys rather than treating myself but have been forced to before as they just couldn't find something for me.
I do have one item on the list this year though, some more perfume, mine has run out (the perfume I like is not an expensive one...too wasteful). I did ask for a toaster but that was another item which was refused by my parents as it is for the house and not me and they want something which is a treat for me.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Do nice people have Christmas lists? My DD and Mr S do - I don't and they think I am a real pain.
"what do you want for christmas" starts in about september. what i always want is more work shirts and ties. "NO THAT'S BORRRRRRRRINGG" is always the reply. "fine get me whatever YOU want then"... grumpy stare. conversation repeats twice a week until she gets me some shirts and ties.
when i ask her what she wants i just get "girls are easy to buy for just me a handbag or jewelry" "but you have at least 10 handbags and you never use 9 of them, and never wear any of your jewelry" "fine get me whatever YOU want" conversation repeats twice a week until i buy her a handbag and some jewelry.0
