.... look at me lying back and watching telly having had a huuuge lay in on a 'work day'

    :)

Need to do something today though.... can't just enjoy the day .... gotta work out where money comes from and start to gather some. As it stands, this month I'll make enough to cover 1/4 of the rent so don't have the luxury of relaxation.

PN would you be entitled to claim unemployment benefits? Could you look into this alongside looking for work or making a go of other things?

You should be counting your blessings. My day started with a FirstCapitalConnect inspired story of woe.

I reached the station in time to buy a ticket and catch my train. People were using the two nearest tickt machines so I walked a few feet to a bank of 3 more - where 2 were out of order and there was a queue for the third so back to the first two which by now had a queue. Still the board was showing my train 4 minutes late so still plenty of time and no need to use one of the outside ticket machines. Of course as I am buying ticket train arrives on time on far platform and leaves just as I reach said platform at which point following train is 15 mnutes late leaving me on the platform for 30 minutes. Following train then packed of course so no seat. Net result 30 minutes of my day wasted for highly avoidable reasons and my envy level of PN highly elevated.
    I think....

We had our Energy Performance Certificate gentleman here this morning and what a nice gent he was a retired Head master doing this as a paid hobby.

The result we had was a 63 rating with a potential of 77 which makes it fall into Band D (55-68) so we are quite pleased and now we can feel confident in our potential sale.

We have done an awful lot of improvements to our home in the four years that we have been here so it has helped the figures go up from a 52 when we purchased the property.

Plus today we had a £25 Premium bond win so we are delighted.:)

You must be feeling a lot better today misskool to find the energy to sneak away from work and go and have a play in the garden. ;)

I cleaned out the potting shed area that I have built, that is a small area between the end of the garage and the start of my workshop that I roofed last year, and todays sunshine made it fell quite warm for a couple of hours. A sure sign that spring is just around the corner.:)

this is the car. he's still got it on his website.

Hi MissK, sorry I did not reply earlier, but I've been away (somewhere nice!). And sorry if this repeats stuff other people have said, but I've still got about 200 posts to get through to catch up.

First, the Southdowns website says that their cars are warranted, and the warranty details on their website cover the battery. Did they give you a policy when you bought the car? If so, you presumably need to deal direct with the insurers.

As they are displaying the West Sussex 'Buy With Confidence' logo, I suggest that we all give appropriate negative comments. I just have! Here:

They have treated misskool very badly indeed showing no respect for our fairer sex.

I would like to see misskool send a letter to the companies MD of how she was treated by a member of their staff when she first reported the findings of the AA Patrol man.

Also a mention of how disappointed her friends on MSE are regarding her treatment. This may just wake them up because word of mouth can be devastating for their reputation.

GDP, you are such a pro. I thought we might all just call them and be a bit like Miskolc personal !!!!! ;) (no idea why that word isn't allowed. It's not like I said hit squad or proposed a crime, and certainly not of a sexual nature)

Feeling rough today so not posting much. All energy has gone into doing not nice stuff which is never good for the soul. I should do something good for one armed sick orphaned nearly extinct animals to cancel out the negativity.

The biodisc is in excellent health the poop-man was thrilled with it, so that's good news. It's interesting that septic tank men are often really charming people. I wonder if that's because they see we all produce the same stuff whatever else we Do?

I am certainly hoping to use this later in my travails against heating people.

Congrats on having a healthy biodisc, LIR.

I don't have a poop man, but I did receive a bowel cancer testing kit through the post - what my BIL termed a 5hit-kit. The difference is that I used mine and got an all-clear, whereas he hasn't used his. Where's the smug smiley?
