Maybe a long soak in the bath or a nice shower followed by some warm food, tv and early bed.

Do you like a little beverage to help you to relax:)
No bath ... no soaks, ever. :(
I had a cheese/potato pie and beans before I nodded off... eating food often makes me sleep :) so I've eaten already today.

    Bed... not got one....
    No booze, not a drinker.

We'll build the super efficient house foourselves. I'm currently reading the handbook on how to create a passivhaus. (you may need to look it up, but if it's a forever house you're after, then some retrofitting may be a good idea!)

Good luck with the sale :)

Thank's Doozergirk for your nice comments...;) and a big YES to your ideal dwelling idea to create a psaaivhaus I'm 100% in favour.:)

My wife gave me a smack when I told her one day that we could save water and energy by sharing the same shower.:o

Rather a quiet day. I hope everyone has been enjoying the glorious sunshine. I've enjoyed the view from my bed, as well as a lot of the view of the insides of my eyelids.feel shocking. All the symptoms of man flu, I think. Thanks for posting, lir, I felt incredibly guilty for dh letting you down, especially considering the current situation. We were seriously considering the same heating method, eventually, it looked initially like a perfect solution. In your situation, I really do think you've been patient enough and that
the sledgehammer approach would be nothing but fair. Imagine how many other people might go through similar experiences, the longer it goes on for you.

Seen some TV. Discovered I like Call the Midwife; there's another one later.

I also watched a programme about conserving black rhino, part of which involves dangling them by the feet from a helicopter. A very strange sight on TV, let alone what that must have looked like in real life!

Doozer, hope you feel much better very soon. I've hear that man flu is particulary nasty ;)

I watched Call the Midwife over Christmas, not sure why but I've taken to watching in on a Sunday. Think its because it fits 'Sunday night tv watching' so well!

I would like to watch call the midwife but i can't stand watching miranda hart :o such a terrible excuse for not watching something. :o

and thinking of evil ways to rid my garden of lesser celandine, trefoil and brambles. and contemplating how many seeds i can sow tomorrow.

I really disliked Miranda in Not Going Out, but I quite like her own series.

She's not in Call the Midwife at the moment as she has gone on a Mission in Africa (if I remember correctly) - so you're free to watch now if you really want to :rotfl:

Pushing our internet capabilities to the limit, we bought a VPN service. So in theory we can watch UK TV here. OH got it working on his laptop for 2 minutes then it failed. Failed on my laptop, so I tried on my ipad. It worked well. OH tried on his ipad and it failed, seems there is a limit of 3 devices and no way of knowing how to tell "the system" if we delete it off 1 of the devices to loan on another. Oops.

2 films not to watch when you are drowsy and prone to nodding off.
    a) Memento
    b) Source Code

I discovered b) last night. I must have rewound to the same section half a dozen times. I finally gave up trying to understand it, but I'm pretty sure the butler did it :D

I've been banned from hugs here cos no one wants to get my cold/'flu' but I'm working on the 'take some paracetemol and ignore it' principal at the moment although that went spectacularly badly when I had the flu before Christmas.

Everyone else here is off next week for half term - I wish I were too.
    I think....
