Cheaper than 50p for 4? Shame we don't have a nearer Lidl.

michaels, have you started using Clicksnap, or whatever the Topcash equivalent is yet? Just wondered if it's worth the effort?

Was doing a bargain shop at Tesco last week which is fairly complicated and DW and DKs kept coming to me with carp that they had seen; so indeed if you are silly enough to impulse shop then retaillers may indeed benefit by 'getting you through the door'; but then are dedicated coupons the same who will impulse buy once in store?
Snickers aren't on my usual buying list ... so I've no idea how much they are.... but I DO know that if I ever saw them at 50p for 4 I'd have a mini stock up.

I am 2 miles from a medium MrS, 5-6 miles from a MrA and 3-4 miles from a MrT. MrS is the one I pass; others I'd have to go out of my way for, so a special trip.

A couple of weeks ago my OH and I we went to visit SB at Portsmouth Uni' and we took along our pet Tasha so that all the family would be together but we came across a problem trying to get Tasha back into the Mazda 2 because her back legs are giving her a few problems, after all she is over 12 years old and weighs about 27Kg, we did manage in the end but now think that we will have to get a ramp for her.

We try to lift her up but she does not like anyone handling her in her nether regions so we will have to try and find somewhere on the internet that can supply a ramp that is strong enough and will fold to be able to fit in the boot.

We don't want to get one that springs otherwise she may not want to walk on it and we do not want one that acts like a spring board otherwise we will be in big trouble with her.

I will google a dog ramp and see what I can find.:)
Could you pick up one of those big blue Ikea bags.... convince her to walk into it, then lift her in?

Do you remember when mobiles first came onto the market they likened to a house brick and would most certainly ruin the line of your suit.;)
In about 1987-1988 a friend of mine had a mobile phone with his job (car salesman) .... it was a big battery pack with a full-blown proper phone handset on top.

Has anyone been following the series on BBC4 about great albums, and the rise of the LP?

Great stuff, in my view, but then I'm a sucker for the large black frisbees :)

Over the years I have always continued to buy vinyl. People would often deride my choice, highlighting technical benefits of first CD and then MP3s etc.

Trying to apply rational argument to an irrational hobby was never going to fly :D

OH and I spent a few happy afternoons at auction houses buying vintage radios that still work in Australia, but I don't believe they'll work here. We just had a message this afternoon to say the stuff we shipped over is ready for delivery, including said radios :j. Many friends thought we were mad to buy them to begin with, let alone spend money on shipping them. What can I say, I just like them :D.

This is terrible news to hear, the garage that supplied your Ford Ghia should collect your car and give you a courtesy car in good faith to keep you moblie.

You could try calling them in the morning and see what they say. I'm sure that was the last thing that they wanted because your friends on MSE will be watching how they will deal with this problem.

You say 'again' I must have missed the first problem that you had.

Would it not be the best to get a taxi home and keep the receipt and ask the garage to pay?

Use the safest way possible to get home...
