I have to go out tomorrow, and if that's the case I might end up buying some cake.
I am stuffed full of pancakes. I am looking forward to 'fasting' tomorrow to make up for it!
If you still fancy cake tomorrow, I think you should buy some and not feel guilty.0 -

I didn't make pancakes but wish I had now.
I might make a cake and freeze all but one piece. I should think about sending some cake in for dh's office really. You know...try and suck up to new boss with cake.
Incidentally, some years ago, before new boss was a boss of dh, he invited dh to his house for a meal, where dh met his wife and had a great time. It was not expected to be reciprocated because of the circumstances we were then in. Seems a bit 'suck uppy' to do it now...or rather in the summer. Although I know boss wants to meet our hens ......he keeps them now because of dh.0 -

There are few better ways to suck up to an office than with cake
I'm sure new boss would love to meet your little ladies - esp if he keeps them now too because of you two. Not sucky uppy at all.0 -
Hope someone links you to property bee soon nikkster, http://property-bee.com/
I think rightmove does it's own keeping tabs thing now? Does that help?
So you were keen after seeing it, eh? That's a good sign!0 -
Maybe not such an advantage to knowing what people's emotions are. Perhaps it's a Pavlovian response.
I suspect some of this is correct and a lot is anthropomorphism.
I don't own a dog although I will one day.
Didn't you find a dog, or rather, didn't a dog find you? What happened to him?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

We all have our quirky ways of communicating and I have never had a very good relationship with putting my words together very well, I always got a 'could do better' at school at the grammatical errors that frustrated my teacher, but thats life I suppose.
I get great fun of 'googling' the vast number of words that are used by Generali in his lovely posts so that I may understand what they mean, so we all can gain enjoyment and pleasure on this friendly Forum.;)
Thinking of Joey from "Friends" when they taught him to use a thesaurusEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Shhhh... don't tell anyone, but its probably because I went for my first look at a house this evening!
I'm not properly looking yet, but saw this one in the paper last night and its the first one I really liked the look of so thought 'why not?'.
Apparently there are 2 offers of the asking price (at both agents its advertised with). I definitely won't be competing with them (assuming they are not imaginary) as I am guessing the place need re-wiring, and definitely needs new carpets before moving in.
Do any of you lovely people have property bee (or similar?) - I was told that the house was SSTC, but the deal fell through a couple of weeks ago. I got two very limp handshakes from the agent (and I am far from Queen of Handshakes) and I'm trying to work out just how much flannel I was being fed! :rotfl:
Ooh, Nikkster, I felt a definite rise in my heart rate when I read this one.
Are we onto colour schemes yet? x
I have propertybee if I can help. I had to check as I haven't looked at rightmove for far too long.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I agree
Invitation is not sucky uppy, but friendly. If they like dh, then they will like you too. And the ladies! (are there congratulations in order? I've been missing an awful lot!)Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I should add, I don't really want to install the toolbar as my personal laptop is still at my parents'. If I find I need/ want it more and more I'll just install it though.
Zoopla tells me that the house went on the market in August 2012 (with both agents), but I can't see anything indicating that it has been under offer at all. I was told it was SSTC for at least a couple of months...
I do quite like it, its not perfect by any means, but has things (e.g. garage and driveway) that I wasn't expecting. I would definitely be interested at the right price, but I don't think the vendors and I would have such similar ideas about the right price :rotfl: It's not worth enough to me to pay the asking price, let alone try to outbid anyone. I think I should be in a strong position being chain-free and having a decent deposit... but I'm well aware I'm only likely to have these advantages this one time so I'm not going to let them go lightly! That and they will have to work reasonably hard to prise my hard earned deposit from my grubby little mitts0
