If only Abu Hamza's defence team had realised all they needed to do was get him to threaten suicide...or is it a matter of the justice you get depends on the colour of your skin in the UK?

Pooh right, I had not worked that out.
But no michaels, I do not think it was a decision based on skin colour.0 -
Did you know, when Whiskas became New Whiskas in the 80s, what it was that they added which made "8 out of 10 cats" love it?
Answer : tiny tiny quantities of one of the sweetest substances known to man. So tiny that human taste buds would not detect it's presence, but cats sure could!
Perhaps the vet has latched on to the notion that a sweet tooth is a bad tooth (eventually) :rotfl:
This adds up as Ginger is very addicted to processed cat food plus we didn't have him from birth (he is a rescue cat that still has a few issues after 12 yrs) so he never got used to a mixture of 'real' food (bones, raw giblets, raw liver etc) , wild food (mice) and processed like the other one.lostinrates wrote: »Teeth. If they are plaque covered sadly they need cleaning.
Cat food is generally bad for cats ( huge generalisation). We feed our cats raw chicken on the bone....chewing the bone does the job nature intended, but it's scary to start raw feeding cats and dogs when we have had a life time of information saying not to feed chicken bones.
Raw chicken bones are fine, not cooked ones. Same with lamb.
Edit...that sou ds like we just feed our cats raw chicken, that's not true. We used to exclusively raw feed, which I think is best, but it's also time consuming and I have to kep careful records for my memory to check I am balancing correctly. Now my cats get a commercial wet food ( though not a British one) and its supplemented with raw meat on the bone.
The dogs have been on a dry food ( I hate these, they are really the worst choice IMO) for convienience while builders in and me unwell. We have Ben discussing the impact it's ha on them recently and agree its terrible despite its convenience and relative cheapness when feeding huge animals ( dog dog has very fast metabolism and eats same amount as big dog, who has to be kept on low rations for her size ) When the kitchen is sorted we will revert to a raw food diet for the dogs.
I kind if guessed this today as we have always fed a mix of stuff from a young age to our cats. The tabby maybe eats one sachet of sugary fishy jelly every 4- 5 days. Rest of the time it's live mice (she can do 3 a day sometimes) leftover real food, giblets etc and some Iams as a top up.
Ginger is more like a modern teenager...all junk food and lieing on the warm cosy sofa all day. He has never caught a mouse in his life but has sniffed the odd escapee all puzzled.
He will eat a bit of real cooked chicken if it is chopped up finely and placed finger and thumb under his nose.
Exact words of vet were '' teeth are caked in plaque (A* to lir) and could do with a clean as, eventually, they will fall out however, none loose or decaying at the moment''.
However, I think raw bones put out could work if he is hungry enough. Maybe twice a week I'll try and get a cat tooth brush just to see if he will let me clean them for him (I don't hold out much hope but worth a try).PasturesNew wrote: »Underlings don't get to choose the hours
I've hardly moved an inch. Go in, sit down and that's where you stay until lunchtime.... 30 minutes away ... then back in, sit down and stay until it's at least 5:30 and what you're doing is finished off.
It's really an overcrowded, dank, miserable space .... and no moving, nowhere to move to.... For excitement you can go to the loo, which is 8' away.
was today a bit better task-wise ?0 -

FC, chicken wings, on a piece of string, and play chase with it. Till puss gets the idea.
Ours looked at us like idiots when we gave them rther first chicken wings, but we're willing to play with it, just not eat it. After a few bites they looked confused then a few more, they tucked in.0 -
Bear with it....it will get better. I will bet you a bag of chips that it will.
Just don't lose confidence plus ask the person who took you on if you are unsure of anything. As an employer (albeit a small one) I would always expect lots of questions on someones 1st few days and would never think that they 'should' know something.0 -
If any one can make processes comprehensible and logical I would have thought it was pn.0

Good idea.....my chicken lady at the farmers market does a big bag of bones (with wings, scraps and bits attached) for £1 so I can see this one working as he does love a game of 'catch the string'. Roll on Sunday afternoon0
