OH works late to avoid driving home in traffic. An extra hour in the office when most people have gone is productive and his journey home is 30-40 minutes rather than 50-80.
Underlings don't get to choose the hours :)
I've hardly moved an inch. Go in, sit down and that's where you stay until lunchtime.... 30 minutes away ... then back in, sit down and stay until it's at least 5:30 and what you're doing is finished off.

It's really an overcrowded, dank, miserable space .... and no moving, nowhere to move to.... For excitement you can go to the loo, which is 8' away.

Not really sure - they seem friendly, but there's a culture of "not speaking", so it's possible to "have a chat" possibly once a day for 2 minutes tops.... then they all go home of course.

I read that as 'for excrement' the first time :rotfl: Although technically possible, I would advise against due to the close proximity!

Mild annoyance in the rates bedroom. I came up to watch the tv I never wanted in here and cannot find the channel zapper. I hate that throu the set top digibox you cannot manually change channel.

Parent is busy watching something unmissable for them downstairs with my doggies, while upstairs I can only see some absolute trash about aliens i think. I am actually reading a book instead.

Last had the zapper sometime last week (tv in room gets used rarely at least, and that was for the radio) and no idea where I have hidden it.

You probably left it on your bedding and it's encased in sheets, or down the side/back of the bed.

There's probably an app that changes channels... and if there isn't then there should be.

Stripped the bed and remade it and checked under bed.

Never mind, it's not the end of the world. :)

Oh, that sheep would last about 2 minutes before it's decapitated.

    This made me laugh.

I thought you could get away with this sort of thing in Aus. I've certainly used them before in Europe, maybe Belgium?

    I love this bit.
Teeth. If they are plaque covered sadly they need cleaning.

    Lovely juxtaposition of comments :)

It's cats - their brains work faster than ours so all they see are the dots that make up the image. We're not seeing a picture, we're just seeing dots that move faster than the human eye/brain can separate them; it's an illusion. But cats' eyes/brains work faster, so they're not fooled.

I find the standard monitor refresh rate of 60hz tends to flicker in the corner of my vision (apparently the edges of human vision are very sensitive to movement) but with a good monitor / graphics card you can turn it up to 75 or even 100hz and it is fine. TVis fine as it is only straight ahead.
    I think....

It's not that... their sites are white on black, the screens are super lit up (I've dimmed them right down), direct overhead strip lighting, tiny/high window, strong reflected sunlight blinding from building opposite for 2 hours. All created conditions that meant I couldn't really see anything and everything was unreadable and swimming.
