IG Index is starting to become addictive. Hmmmmm.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Our dog's been chipped ages ago. Jolly good idea. Read about some people holidaying in Bulgaria and got attacked by wild dogs there. Absolutely out of control - there was a death as recent as last June.

Just as long as you steer clear of the gold and silver futures, this board is good evidence of where an unhealthy interest in gold and silver prices can lead you

Well this afternoon we had a visit from our third and final choice of EA's to discuss the selling price of our Bungalow now we have to choose one of these three and at the moment our brains are a little confused.

All three gave a good display of their knowledge of the area where we reside and certainly knew the market, our confusion is as to why one EA should quote a figure that was 25K greater than the other two, the EA left copies of Bungalows similar to ours that have recently sold for more than the figure given by the other two EA's

This is going to get both of us scratching our heads at finding a resolve.

We think that we are going to sleep on it and see how we feel tomorrow because Fools rush in where Angels fear to tread.:)

I guess some EAs quote a best possible price in the hope of getting the instruction but then generally end up with at least 1 asking price reduction. I'm not sure this si the best way to sell. Using propertybee addon for firefox browser you can look at properties the agents are selling / have sold and see whether the higher quoting agent is more liable to have seen asking price reductions.

Last time I dealt with an agent they were willing to entertain a fairly steep 'payments by results' fee structure so that they earn much more commission if they make the sale at a price that you consider above par and much less if they don't achievie it - that might incentivise them to give you a realistic valuation?

All three EA's quoted the same commission percentage and said that if another EA gave a lower figure in writing they would match it.

So it would look as though they have the market closed on this issue.:(

I doubt it Bertie, they'll all want the sale. What commission do they want? Last place I sold for 1% sole agency. I thought that was generous!
