It's never been high on my agenda.... I'm usually wondering "what'm I having for tea?"

Can you lot have a whip round... looks like I'm £30-40k short of buying a house I'd prefer, rather than one I can afford *grins*.

Well once you have a likely candidate we could all go and view (individually) and purse our lips a lot and point out faults and then put in offers 50k below asking price then when you turn up as a cash buyer offering 35k below asking price they will bite your hand off :rotfl:
    I think....

Fwiw it will be roman blinds, not curtains, so a 'flat view' of the fabric.

The first is also available as a linen mix fabric. But I think the velvet though less light is a better choice because I want black out lining, and high insulation interlining. ( we WILL be warm!):D

Funny isn't it? I like Dahlia and not whimsical. Possibly because I read that it was for roman blinds before looking. The first doesn't look like a RB fabric.

I agree - I prefer the first one, but I think that Dahlia would look better as roman blinds. I REALLY like the first one though.

I need to stop mentally buying things for my imaginary house!
