I've never been to an art gallery. I've been dragged into some well over-priced shops with some pictures for sale, that call themselves a gallery in name. Never been to a proper one though, like a museum.
I "don't get" pictures.
I would have disagreed, until my youngest dragged me round some art galleries. Now its a bit like wine - I know what I like and know what I don't like, without any great knowledge on either subject.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. You have to laugh
I have relatives in Florida we have stayed with a few times.
They called on Saturday to say they were coming over for a funeral this week so we sort of offered them to stay here thinking they would stay elsewhere as they already have plans and the call ended pretty non-committal.
Fast forward to 5 minutes ago and a call comes through from the US, 4 of them are arriving tomorrow morning at LHR and how do they get here...like we are ready for that - not!
I will take the morning off and do what I can but we are also doing a major release at work tomorrow/thursday so even that is pushing it and DW is at college tomorrow morning.
There is only one suitable smiley :eek:I think....0 -

Somehow nobody ever wants to stay with me as they like their comforts too much. I can offer a sleeping bag on an air bed, a small sofa to watch a small portable TV from .... two unmatching mugs, Lidl cheap coffee and a packet of crisps. People seem to prefer to make other arrangements0 -
tbh doing a midnight flit to your airbed seems like a very good option right now!I think....0

Pastures, you've got more than most, and you deserve to. Since I've been a NP, things haven't been easy for you, and it should be about you for a change. You seem a really nice person!
If I'm down your way, I'll buy you a coffee, not that I'm 100% aware of where you actually are

I'm almost ready to go. I must get a new swimming costume next time though. I was worried this one would not fit, But it is big on the bottom half and too small over the top half. Better than too tight all over, but still, not very attractive.0

Luck is 99% perspiration.
There are serendipitous moments in people's lives but things happen when you want them or let them.
I was lucky when I ignored the requirements for experience for my first office job, they wanted someone experienced, I was not but dazzled them in the interview...this led to (after several job changes), a high paying job and a proper career.
I was not lucky when the boys were discovered to have differing needs, my husband decided to sleep with my best friend and I ended up on the one thing I had always been very critical of...benefits as a lone parent. Mind you, you could say it was my just desert for being so ultra critical and nasty about lone parents and their moralsWe made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0
