I've spent my life trying to improve my lot .... always ends t1ts up. So then you stick with "bird in the hand", even if it's only half a bird, with no feathers and an upside down beak.... having tried everything in the past that's known/available/presented itself ... and it's crashed and burned, you sometimes have to play safe.

It's all down to me... if I make a mistake there's nobody to help bail me out. I just seem to make cr4p decisions based on limited opportunities.

Says she, who has an income from creating internet sites, virtually printing money in my book.

Fast forward to 5 minutes ago and a call comes through from the US, 4 of them are arriving tomorrow morning at LHR and how do they get here..

An answer to that question would be useful. Time/ money/ ability.

There are trains heathrow express to paddington (or tube picadilly line) then the tube to FCC and the train northwards. (If they are doing this, then changing at Farringdon is easier and quicker than walking through Kings X- St. P.) Not sure on price.

There are national express coaches from LHR to watford and probably other Herts places.

Or get a private minicab, costs me about £45, so a bit more to you.

Half day holiday was brilliant. I did that thing where fish nibble your feet. Only my fish weren't that bothered for most of the time. It actually feels lovely I thought. I just wish they had been hungrier!

Was again impressed with the range of facilities at the not posh spa. Better for people like dh and I who find it hard to relax...but of course, not terribly relaxing because you are rushing around trying to experience everything.

I cut myself so they gave us an extra hour free. :)

My skin hates all that steam and cleaning, and I am sure my currently clear skin will be spotty tomorrow.

The best thing for me by far was the showers in the changing room, hot, powerful and roomy. Tbh, I could have stayed in the shower all morning and wept with joy.

Are these fish edible? I live on a short road that has a chiropodist and a fish and chip shop.

A recycling opportunity just popped into my mind!

That wasn't the hard bit - the hard bit is that because the house is still only half decorated the rooms we don't currently use are all 'junk rooms' so I spent an extremely busy morning reconfiguring 4 bedrooms so that only one is a junk room and the DDs are close to us and the family bathroom and there are two guest rooms with beds not covered in clean laundry close to the guest bathroom, at one point we were thinking of using the sofa bed in the lounge but that is also the ironing room currently. That leaves us 1 bed short (we have the bed but it is in bits and we have misplaced the bolts) and potentially 2 duvets short we have loads of duvets but mostly doubles and in storage :(
    I think....

Any family or close friends geographically close who can share stuff with you? If we were closer I would be bringing your two quilts.

Nothing wrong with a double duvet on a single bed - gives you an opportunity to wrap it round.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Indeed, IMO it's preferable to have double on a single, king on a queen, and superking in any bed you are sharing with a duvet grabber :D

It's all how it's presented. You wouldn't be eating any that had dined on anybody else!

If it was a personalised dining experience.....
As they'd have been eating you before you ate them- would that be OK for vegetarians?
